Assuming Republicans win the midterm elections, will most of the Republicans elected be Democrats pretending to be Republicans?

The only noteworthy one that comes to mind is Dr Oz. That guy is an absolute fraud, and the fact Trump endorsed him really sours me towards Trump because it just goes to show he has retained virtually none of the lessons learned from his first year in office where he doted on people who flattered him even as they undermined his administration. The bigger issue the Republicans have is that most of the seats that are up for election in the Senate are already occupied by Republicans, so even though a "historic red wave" is expected, there's not many gains to actually be made, and it would be a "good" win just to gain 1 and break the even split. This in itself doesn't do as much as they need though, because about a dozen Senate Republicans are RINOs who just got reelected in 2020.

In the house, the Republicans will probably take the house and maybe even by enough to make the house RINOs (a proportionately much smaller factor) irrelevant. Then the issue becomes the historic problem with the Republican party, namely that they're too fractured internally to agree on anything other than opposing Democrats. The most you could realistically expect from a Republican controlled house is an impeachment of Joe Biden over corruption exposed by Hunter's laptop, which will likely turn into more of a half-assed smear campaign than a serious investigation despite the evidence. We're talking about the same party that despite having total control of the house, Senate, and presidency for two years did absolutely nothing with it, forced their own president to basically lead by executive order, and consequently have basically everything except for his supreme court nominations erased within a week; they are not, and still aren't a strong party.

With very few exceptions, the party which has voluntarily excepted second class status continues to find ways to creatively disappoint. It honestly would not surprise me if we get a full slate of establishment types in office who promptly perform at the dismal level that they have been for decades. It’s time for some new younger talent at every level of government! Hey hey ho ho if you’re old as dirt you’ve got to go! I don’t mean to disrespect elders in society who actually accomplished something in their lives but these rich privileged blowhards surrounded by armed security whose contribution to society is looting and fleecing it who seem to be fighting their peers for who is fence sitting on the tallest fence or who is the most middle of the road need to go.

In my state the democrats spent millions trying to intentionally promote the most radical Republican candidates in the primaries given they have a lesser chance of beating out democrat incumbents.

This didn’t work. All the moderate Republicans won the primaries

Anyway I would rather have a wishy washy Republican unseat a far leftist Democrat any day. I used to live in a swing state that got taken over (and destroyed) by liberals. Besides Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema the entire Democrat party is moving further and further into radicalism. The 90s Clintonian democrats (socially liberal but fiscally conservative) are a thing of the past.

I have been doing a lot of research and reading about Marxism and communism lately. To be fair a lot of these influencers who expose socialism start out of with good intentions. They really believe a utopia is possible on Earth. But every time they out this philosophy into real life practice it ultimately ends in dystopia.

That’s always a problem with politicians! In the Honolulu local elections, I voted for Rick Blangiardi for mayor and Steve Alm for prosecutor. Both ran as conservatives in what are non-partisan elections. Blangiardi said he was going to end the Draconian lock downs.

Both won. Next thing I know, I’m showing ID and a vaccination card to order lunch and criminals are being released without bail and slapped on the wrist if convicted. Police officers were being charged with murder for what were plainly justified homicides.

I can’t wait to vote against both of them.
