Bit of advice - get one with low limit and use it for emergency ONLY.

If you don’t make minimum payments or hold that dent for 6 months it will kill your credit. Below 600 means living in dog house or refrigerator box‼️

Nope. It actually can help your credit rating. If you pay everything on time and the credit card companies never make any money off you, they don't like that. It's a dumb system.
