Are most irish people vegetarians?

According to "Our World in Data" meat consumption in Ireland per person is less than in many countries in SubSaharan Africa and far below most developed countries. I had never heard of the Irish being vegetarian except for the religious ones during Lent.

you don't have to be religious to be vegetarian (i know there are some tho, obviously)... it's likely a personal choice for them, not because of being irish...
