I visited the USA from Canada & went to this pub with my brother in law. We met this couple sitting beside us from Savannah Georgia. He was retired marine been all over the world and he asked where I was from. I said Canada.

The guy went serious & asked “Was it hard to get in?” I was confused asked what he meant. He repeated the question I replied, drove up to the border and showed my passport? What’d you think I had to climb a fucking fence?

He went all quiet he actually thought that. Or maybe there's a giant ice wall between the countries. Then he asked how far north I had to travel. I tried explaining north was Quebec I’m from the west which just confused the fuck out of the guy.
