Why do people forget that King Charles III is also the King of Canada?

Queen Elizabeth and now King Charles III is the King of the whole Commonwealth realm, which means he is King of 54 different countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, North Ireland, and much more.

He isn't only the King of England, so just because we aren't British, we still care about our King

People outside of Canada won't see him much on money or official portraits in government buildings or courtrooms unless they actually go to Canada. The could be one reason it's not obvious to a lot of people that he's the king there too.

For anyone that dreams of the U. S. Canada, and Mexico ever sharing a single currency similar to The Euro, the monarchy, and The British Commonwealth institutions in Canada will never really allow that to happen. Especially since Brexit.

The Commonwealth of Nations (the Commowealth) and Commonwealth Realms are 2 entirely different things.

Those 56 nations are members of the Commonwealth which is a political association largely of current and former territories within the British Empire.

The UK and 14 other member states recognize King Charles as their King or head of state. They are Commonwealth Realms. The rest of the 56 do not.

He's the head monarch for the United Kingdom.

Scotland and England ARE countries, as are Wales and Northern Ireland. They are all part of the United Kingdom which means they are countries but are not sovereign countries.
