+1 yTulsi Gabbard said in her video: "today's Democratic Party stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite."
You gotta love a girl who has her facts straight. Here are the affiliations of the Top 22 richest families in America:
1. Walton – Republican 2. Koch – Republican 3. Mars – Republican 4. Cargill-MacMillan – Republican 5. Johnson (Fidelity) – Republican 6. Hearst – Republican
So the top SIX are all Republican!
7. Cox – Democrat 8. Pritzker – Both 9. Johnson (S. C. Johnson) – Republican 10. Duncan – Republican 11. Newhouse – Democrat 12. Lauder – Both 13. Du Pont – Republican 14. Hunt – Republican
FOUR of the next 8 are straight Republican, TWO are Democrat, 2 are both Score so far: Republicans - 10 Democrats - 2 Both - 2
15. Ziff – Both 16. Johnson (Franklin Templeton) – Republican 17. Busch – Both 18. Dorrance – Both 19. Mellon – Republican 20. Brown – Both 21. Carlson – Both 22. Fisher – Republican
THREE of the next 8 are straight Republican, ZERO are Democrat FOUR are both
SCORE: REPUBLICANS - 13 DEMOCRATS - 2 BOTH - 6
WAY TO GO TULSI !!! You can't even do basic math. You'll do well with the R's.

@loveslongnails. She quit the Democratic party. She didn't say she was switching to Republican. She's too progressive for either one. She actually has ethics.
- +1 y
@Lliam That remains to be seen. She's told her fair share of puppet lies before, and as my post demonstrates, she's fine with spreading misinformation that suits her agenda. I don't trust politicians to begin with, but some make my skin crawl more than others, and she's one of them. I started out years ago "wanting" to be her fan, but the more she spoke, the more she eroded away my belief. Whether she joins the R's or not, I can't support her.
- +1 y
@loveslongnails, I don't disagree with what you said. In 2016, she seemed like the best choice out of the rest of the candidates. I liked how she took down Harris. The fact that the Democrats don't like her is a good sign. But she is deeply embedded in "the system", so...
I don't trust politicians, in general.
I just mailed paperwork to become a sovereign U. S. citizen of the constitutional United States of America and remove myself from being property of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA corporation or subject to admiralty law. The main result will be no longer having to pay income tax. But it also means that if I vote in an election, I'll be re-"volunteering" to be a piece of corporate property. So I'm won't have to worry about candidates anymore because I won't be voting. - +1 y
Where the heck did you come up with this list? Not a single name on your list is even in the top ten. Only two of them are in the top 20.
- +1 y
@WindAtMyBack Baloney. There are lots of different lists, but they're all up there. Just Google "Wealthiest families in the USA". It depends how they arrive at their figures.

This is really good news! She might actually stand a GODO chance of becoming US president now! I always felt like Tulsi Gabbard was the least evil politician in Washington (figuratively speaking). I'm glad she finally woke up and saw that the Democratic party is a losing one. I'm not saying she needs to go Republican (nor would I want her to), but anything but Democrat, is a winning move, at this point.
Thanks for the link, OP. I didn't even know she had a podcast. Like I said, she seems like the best person to be president (although I'm unsure if America would vote for her).31 Reply- +1 y
When I saw this news, you were the first person to come to mind, lol. I mistakenly thought she was a third party candidate for some reason, so I wonder if she'll possibly campaign as one in the future, it would be nice to see more moderate candidates in office.

I'm just glad people are realising there is no left progressive wing parties anymore across the west that are the dominant party... mmm maybe Scotland.
What we have now is ultra right wing parties that answer only to their doners which as usually always exclusively in the top 5% of esrners.. and another party that champions social justice, a type of lottery pick. Where instead of helping the vast percentage of those on the lowest incomes, they instead pick a marginalised community and champion some cheap but ultimately unaffective policy to address their injustice.
Kind regards,

+1 yDid she say why? She actually seemed to be the only candidate (the only Democratic candidate, at least) who understood the importance of reconciliation and national infrastructure; that was critical enough in 2020 that I overlooked her foolishness on nuclear power- I shudder to think what I'd overlook for it NOW.
Did she say where she was going?

And for those of us on non-EME compatible browsers?
- +1 y
@NamerOfStars What's EME?
- +1 y
@Jamie05rhs Encrypted media extension. It's a form of DRM; if your broswer isn't running Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, or Mozilla, various parts of the website won't load. When Microsoft did the same thing in 1995, it was considered a problem; the less-aware and far less demanding modern audience isn't nearly so picky.
- +1 y
@NamerOfStars Ah; thanks for explaining.
(But you mean Edge, right? Not Explorer.) - +1 y
@Jamie05rhs No, I mean Explorer; they may call it something different now, but that's what it is.
- +1 y
@NamerOfStars So you don't think Microsoft actually changed their browser at all? They just changed the name? Lol
I don't know, man. I don't think that's totally true. I've used both programs, and Edge is a little different. - +1 y
@Jamie05rhs No, you're right; that WAS dismissive of me. I should've said that they simply decided to continue emphasizing the aspects of the browser I disliked, and so I didn't bother keeping up with. That wasn't fair of me; good catch.
- +1 y
@NamerOfStars No prob, dawg. :)
1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Eh another person who has felt that their side of the isle has become too radical and left her behind in doing so. Really though it's common theme when a political party swings too far in one direction or the other. It's just a shame people are unwilling to put their party politics aside and work towards establishing any kind of middle ground.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yShe is right, the modern democratic party is run by the collage indoctrinated crazy SJW left. They are doing theses things and marginalizing any high level democrat that doesn't agree to maintain control.
Joe Biden was supposedly elected because he was the most moderate of the people running outside of Tulsi herself and look what is being done by his administration/him?
Joe either was a lier or he isn't in charge and this is what the democratic party leadership he surroundings himself with to run every agency believes in today.00 Reply- 802 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 ySmartest thing she could do if she has further political ambitions. If she gives up her anti gun stance, she will be the darling of the Republican party. Even so, don't be surprised if she isn't vice president in 2 years

When she runs for President and takes half of the votes from the Democrat , I am going to
1) laugh my ass off
2) Celebrate Donald Trump's reelection
3) Come here to let you know how that all happen - +1 y
@888theGreat Democrats hate her. Republicans love her. She would steal votes from Tub-o-Lard should he be foolish enough to run again. :)

@supercutebutt I think Trump will send her roses after 2024 elections

Asker+1 yShe was vice chair of the DNC, so it's only correct to referrer to her as a Democrat.
Asker+1 yActually it was 6 years ago she was vice chair of the DNC. It was 2 years ago she ran for President as a Democrat. Beyond my why she didn't leave soon. I left in 2016, and it felt great not being a sheep to a corrupt party.
Asker+1 yNo one who left the Democratic party to become independent was not brainwashed by any, we did so on our own. Anyone who believes right wing media are brainwashed just like everyone who blindly believes left wing media.
- +1 y
Yeah, that both sides nonsense is probably the far right's most used (and dare I say most effective) brainwashing tool. It's so satisfying to marinate in wisecracks and believe oneself above the fray. But that's just an addictive illusion to prevent you from figuring out republicans are just scammers and the only viable peaceful way to stop them from robbing us of everything is to vote democrat.
Asker+1 y"That both sides nonsense is probably the far right's most used". Actually that's completely false. I and many others I know, know that is a BS talking point used by the establishment left to scare people into support Democraps. Two party system is beyond repair and must go.
- +1 y
No, it's true. P I invite you to find any example of democrats being called communists coming to take your guns or whatever and then some bothsidser stepped in to say republicans are the same. That wouldn't even make sense to most people.
Because bothsidesism was created for the express purpose of diminishing democratic turnout..
