No one ever said Democratic politicians were logical or honest. But it masks a larger point, that voting gives us the illusion of choice that we really don't have. In practical terms, we don't have proper democratic functions in a lot of government.

The United States is a federal republic not a democracy. Far worse has happened in the past 250 years and we've recovered from it every time. Democrats are destroying things as fast as they can, but it will turn around again as it always does.

i don't think that "voting a representant" is "democracy" in the first place. because other than the candidate or party you didn't get to decide anything about actual policies and the candidate and their party aren't bound to any policy they promised to get your vote.

factually we have a indirect oligarchy with 2 right wing parties who'se representants can be democratically voted for. not a "democracy" in my opinion. so what never started in the first place, can not end.
