For the first time in my life I feel like I’m sliding backwards. I’m spending hundreds more for food, hundreds for fuel, I’m paying more for rent, the likelihood of buying a home is looking less and less possible. It’s far worse now than it was in the middle of the pandemic and there is not a whole lot of hope in the horizon.

The rich get richer. And they do not care how they get rich. Who they hurt. Ripping people off, but people buy their products for some reason. Rich control inflation of everything they sell. Governments get a cut, so they don't care. So much corruption everywhere. Always about money, power, selfishness. Greed, gluttony, destruction, suffering, pollution, création of more garbage. Humans just suck. We are a disease to this beautiful planet.

I'm finding myself - for the first time in my life - considering a move from the US to another country.

Do NOT teach in a public school. The money is all about teaching in private schools.
One of my favorite students was an engineer who worked at a Mitsubishi plant.
He wanted to understand English slang, as it pertained to business.

He brought a book, but it was fucked up beyond belief. lol

So imagine you are a teacher in Thailand. He asks you what the following phrase means...

"The shit's going to hit the fan, when the boss finds out"
How do you explain it?
On my second week on the job, I was booking the most money at the school? Do you know why?
Because no one on the planet wants to learn grammar.

English grammar was invented by morons high on opiates.

I didn't live in Bangkok, but that's where your plane lands. No exceptions. My only other exception would be Mexico, but I've never been there.
