If a child and an adult were about to drown in the sea and the odds of surviving and drowning were equal and both were equidistant from you and you could only save one of them, which would you save?

I would save the adult because the moral development of the adult is more advanced than that of the child, and because adults have more awareness and expectations for life.

the adult can save themselves much more easily, and even if they die they already ived for a while so it's not as bad if they die. the kids life is just started so they deserve to live more, they're also more pure and innocent and helpless, and much easier to save then an adult. it also would just plain wrong to save a grown ass person over a little kid
