We were able to purchase a home with me working full time as hospital public safety and my wife only working part time. Neither of us were working in professional positions requiring a college degree. Our president had the courage to turn a walking shit stain who committed state sponsored acts of terror against us into a literal shit stain at their own airport. Our enemies and frenemies feared and respected us. Food was cheap and plentiful, even during times of profit gouging fake shortages. No new wars started. Our president passed a cognitive faculties exam. Our president knew how to win negotiations. Our president had the lowest minority unemployment rate in recorded history. Our president appointed people based on merit not genitalia or race. Our president put us first, since we pay the bills, not foreign freeloaders. Our president protected the lives and livelihoods of migrant workers by seeking to control competition from illegals who can work for less and take their jobs. Our president sought to protect the lives and livelihoods of urban poor by slowing down the flow of competition and drugs into our cities. Our president sought to stop sex trafficking of little girls by making sure the adults accompanying them at the border were a DNA match as a parent. Our president sought to contain and control Chinese aggression. I can go on but I think you get the picture.

It was still under control of the oligarchy dominated by the managerial/bureaucratic elites. Trump was incapable of the difficult task of dislodging the current elites. His orders were slowpeddaled, disobeyed, or bogged down in the court system and he was removed from power. Perhaps out of a need to be liked, he was convinced to surround himself with regime lackeys, a self-own that hobbled his administration.
