What I find credible is that we'll have a much better energy supply system and more beneficial things but at the same time, these two things I have mentioned could have the possibility to overweigh it all... so that another new era/form of war will begin unlike bombing other countries. Then there is inflation... deflation... stagflation again and again... panicking, protesting, people screaming at the Governeurs. So we'd need also a new money supply system because its value will decrease? Am I being paranoid and too fictional? THIS IS NOT A TROLL POST!!

No. Don't be daft.

There is no "overpopulation" - if anything - the working population is going down and it's why immigration is necessary. In fact, if you take the current world population it could fit into the USA with more than a hectare of land each.

As for AI - it's mostly Hollywood bullshit that has you scared. What you're really talking about is AGI, and that has still not developed much from the 60's. Current A. I. is just algorithms with no thought or sentience behind them.

There is 333 million people in the US. It was 200 million forever it seemed when I was a kid. I think there is too many people. They are like dog shit, they are everywhere. Where I live we are losing population but the traffic keeps getting worse.

Humans have been through a lot of shit in our history. We've been through big wars that killed tens of millions of people. We've been through plagues that killed half the population. We've been through natural disasters, dictatorships, famines and genocides. Humans have survived all of them.

Stop worrying about all that shit and live your life in a good way. You don't have to carry the world on your shoulders. You only have to carry your share of the world on your shoulders - and with eight billion people that's not very much.

Why have humans survived all the stuff we've been through? It's because someone helped an old lady get something off the top shelf at the store. Multiply that times billions of people and that's why we've survived.

That does NOT mean to forget about the bad things. It just means that you are a tiny cog in a very big wheel. It means that the little things in your daily life are very powerful. It's why we've survived.

I think we're far more likely to have a crisis of underpopulation. There is a lot of information and studies being done showing that the West and the Far East are actually going into population decline and it could be a fairly rapid drop. To where cities and towns end up being abandoned.


The drop-off of marriages, births, and rise of sterility and repeated crisis have shown the cracks in the system and the outlook is extremely bleak.


AI could be a problem in the long term, but I think we have a lot more pressing concerns right now.

Overpopulation? No. The earth is nowhere near over populated. There's tons of resources available for increased population. In fact we're having underpopulation issues around the world.

Overpopulation can cause an existential crisis by scarcity of ressources and thus people would have nothing to consume to survive as nostradamus was predicting it for the future but that is just a theory because technology is progressing so rapidly that we would always find a way to fill our bellies

But this is an issue in the long run. Because we will soon have to deal with periods of drought if we continue to produce in this mass. Global warming, water scarcity, land use... Overpopulation is not good for the earth itself. But the way I know people, they only wake up after it's too late. Well it's a pity actually.
