I think Asian women who marry outside go mostly for white men and black men tend to go for Latinas. Unfortunately due to latinos/hispanics not being a real race they were excluded from this study.
Latinos: Mostly a mixed people that can have various degrees of Southern European, native American, sub sahara African, jewish, north African. When people think of latinos they usually think of people that look like Mestizos. The Latinos who look clearly white got included with the white people.

First: it's the holiday weekend so there's less activity on GaG. Happens every year but especially around Christmas and New Years, and admins are almost always away on holidays for about a week which is why many posts don't get promoted or featured on these occasions.

Moving on to your post... I can probably believe it because whites - and no offense - see their own race as the most attractive. Although further broken down, this is more often the case with white men than it is for white women, who are more likely to date and marry outside their race than the men.

Exposure is also a large factor. In the large chunk of land space between California and the east coast, you have a lot of areas full of whites and few minorities, so most white people's options for dating/marrying are going to be their own. Whereas in the more diverse parts of America, you will see lots of interracial relationships with a white partner.

And then you also have the white people who intentionally only date/marry their own because they want the white race to continue and fear it becoming a minority, even though that's already happening.

My thoughts are that people are free to date who they want, and if white Americans prefer to date white Americans thats their choice and there is nothing wrong with that.

That is because 62 percent of American are white and the other races have a much smaller percentage. You didn't understand that is reason because their a substantial percentage blacks and Asians. It would be obvious if the population was 99% white, because who else could they marry while the 1% would have 100 times the opportunity to marry outside their race. It should also be obvious because only 2% of American are American Indian. Therefore, since they are the smallest percentage, they have the highest percentage of interracial marriages.

There are other factors that affect the percentages. However, by far, the primary reason is that races with higher percentages of the population have the lowest percentage of interracial marriages.

You gave an illogical bad example. White people are not a large minority in Japan. What I mean by large minority is if by example, in the U. S all racial groups had the same number or close to the same number that made up the population. Say 25% white, 30% Asian, 25% black, 20% native American for example.

Black men who go outside their race will go for not just Latinas but white women too. Latinos are also not 'white', and Central Americans most definitely do not identify with it.

@ManOnFire Some Latinos are White. Example Canelo Alvarez & Lionel Messi. Most Latinos are mixed between european and native American (Mestizos). Lots of latinos can also have traces of black, jewish, and north African dna. Latinos are mostly a mixed race people but some latinos are white, especially in places such as Argentina. Latino is not a real race.

Chinese and Indians generally try to promote staying within their culture/nation. Parents often are very strict and in case of Indian, they have arranged marriages. Many do and all the girls in my wifes family married outside their chinese race. Others I've known as well.

White, I've seen quite a few marry outside of race... but how many have such opportunity? I didn't see a chinese girl until college. In the city I'm at now which is very multi cultural, I see many interracial couples, including black.

So I'm not really sure what this statistic means or if it is really representative of what is true. It's a more local issue.

The majority has many dating options seeing as they are the majority. Blacks are a larger minority group than Asians but still a minority group, thus they mix more than Whites but less than Asians who have a very small dating pool to select from in this country. Switch it up and go to the Congo and Blacks will be marrying Blacks. Go to China and Asians will be marrying Asians. Whoever has the dominate position has to be less flexible in their mate selection.

Most Asian men in the USA come from China or India. If they are the breadwinner of the family so they just import a wife from their home countries which are the two most populous nations on Earth. Women will often move from a poor country to a rich country to marry a financially established man (i. e. a Chinese or Indian Engineer or Scientist). Pretty simple really.

Mexicans have been imported for low wage labor positions and Chinese and Indians have been imported for higher wage technical positions via H-1B visa programs. 57% of Asian Americans were born in another country.

An additional cultural factor is that arranged marriage is relatively common in India and somewhat so in China. So a guy can come to America, get his graduate degree in some STEM field and get a fast track to citizenship, a high paying job, etc. and then he is highly marketable by his parents in his home country to perspective wives.

Going by Gallup, White people will be "extinct" in about a century is what you can extrapolate.

Though technically there is no such thing as "White" in the US, anyway. All (aside from the Native Indians), are mixed race to a large extent.
