Dammit! Biden now has docs in his basement? Who the hell they think those docs belong to?

Well presumably what this infact demonstrates is that this is actually perfectly normal, this is just bullshit paperwork that gets taken home because when you are leading a nation you are working 24/7.
The fault clearly lies in this not being returned and potentially there being insufficient security arrangements.
It is trivial to solve these problems.
Stop getting so excited over nothing.
My medical records are classified, we aren't talking about the codes to the Death Star being leaked onto the internet here.
I have to wonder what the policies are. I have to wonder how far and wide the issue goes for these people move around a lot.
Might want to check the airplane seat pockets as well.
Is this whitehouse "green"? How many of you would print out classified documents? Wouldn't you read them on a computer and save all the trees?
Going to have to review policies and procedures. Good grief.
Lets be honest, looks like this happened with the other guy as well...
Give the guy a break, he's old for fuck sake. Probably just put them down and got distracted by a biscuit. Poor guys probably forget he's got a basement let alone docs in it.
It’s all so boring anymore. Politics used to be more exciting.

Crap, this is going to make idiots who think shoplifting a packet of crisps is the same as stealing a Lamborgini at gunpoint say something idiotic like "Womp womp".
How many? What did he do with them? Did the National Archive ask for them back? What did he do when he found them? None of that will matter to the morons.
@goaded Still missing the point of how the 3 branch congressional system works in regard to secretes.
Its not a question of how many but rather who and why. In our system the president is head of the executive branch and fundamental to executive authority is decide what is and is not a state secrete. To do this the president generally lays out orders in how to express his judgement on this matter.
Theses orders are called classification rules.
It is expected however as the situation changes said rules can be changed at any time and in any way the president deems necessary. This could happen over the coarse of weeks or at a mere order.
In Joe Biden case the documents were taken during the Obama administration so it was Obama's judgement alone that is in question. The fact that Joe Biden still regards the documents as classed tells us he thought Obama did at the time.
So unless there is evidence he is incorrect Joe Biden is indicating believed he inadvertently committed a crime in retaining them.
@monorprise Nice try, but an Obama EO said that the VP and others are entitled to classify and declassify documents.
Not that that matters, the documents belong to the government, not the person holding them, so Biden shouldn't have kept the documents. Of course, when Biden found the documents he returned them immediately to their rightful owners. Trump is still claiming he owned the ones he intentionally took. Trump kept the documents he took. He lied, through a lawyer, about having returned them all, obstructing justice. He's still not willing to state that he doesn't posess any documents belonging to the government.
@monorprise Correct, hence the bulk of my posting, describing the difference between Trump and Biden:
"Not that that matters, the documents belong to the government, not the person holding them, so Biden shouldn't have kept the documents. Of course, when Biden found the documents he returned them immediately to their rightful owners. Trump is still claiming he owned the ones he intentionally took. Trump kept the documents he took. He lied, through a lawyer, about having returned them all, obstructing justice. He's still not willing to state that he doesn't posess any documents belonging to the government."
Unless this is trying to imply that Biden is trying to hide them from Congress and the rest of his cabinet, I don't see what the big deal is.
He's the commander in chief, if anyone could possess and read those documents it would be him, right? Doesn't he also have the power to declassify those documents if he felt it was necessary?
The documents belong to the American people. although their secrete status is the determination of the discretion of the president alone.
Joe Biden having and retaining classified documents as vice president is a bit more problematic in that you have to show Obama knew of and approved the transfer of said documents. If not done in accordance to the rules Obama had previously laided out in in what he regarded as a secrete document.
Apparently Biden is like a squirrel who buries acorns for the winter and then forgets where he buried them. Only instead of acorns he forgot where he put classified documents.
He's 90 some years old. Give him a break. Most likely really did forget about those old papers. LOL
Althou Joe Biden was the oldest man ever to be president the moment he took office at 78 and every year thereafter. At the time of this crime he was only 74.
You guys need an independence party
Our government is not the best rn either
He is still president right now so technically he didn't do anything illegal.
Because it’s (D) ifferent when Democrats do the same goddamn thing they investigate others for. 🙄
@agagagagaga
What Vice President Joe Biden did with classified documents isn't even remotely comparable to what President Trump did.
A president as head of the executive branch has ultimate power over classification of state secretes. They basically exist at his whim, and the rules of classification are his rules for everyone else follow to express his view of what is and is not a secrete.
Thus the unlike President Trump, a Vice President Joe Biden was obligated to follow then President Obama's rules in regard to said document.
Also unlike President Trump who maintains he didn't regard the documents as classified, Vice president Joe Biden still claims he believes the documents were classified by the then President Obama.
Its basically the difference between the owner giving away a car and the person borrowing it.
"Dems are already jumping to investigate him".
Ummmmmm... oh never mind.
Yeah, he's so full of chit. Anybody could have copied those documents.
Does not matter.
Well let's storm his house
@UCrayCray How about the fact documents keep turning up in different locations. Or, maybe because the people finding them have NO clearance to even touch a classified document.
@UCrayCray I'm not saying his house should be "stormed" but a warrant should have been issued weeks ago. You don't need proof he's withholding documents. All you need is the proof that classified material is showing up in several unsecured locations and apparently being looked at by people that have no clearance. Last I heard, that's a threat to national security but apparently no one's cares about it anymore. I wonder why?
@UCrayCray I never said storm his house.
@UCrayCray I totally agree!
Womp womp
