That is a really good question! A while back, a left wing nut job said if environmentalists kill someone, they are not left wing. He said it on this app. It was in reference to the Galveston shooter and the Buffalo shooter. They both considered themselves, "ecofascists". Which was a name invented by the media and college professors to take heat off the looney left. You tell me. If you kill someone, in an effort to save the environment, does that suddenly make you a right winger? How does that happen?

I mean anyone who is left or right can borrow from right or left wing ideas and be partially or to any extent the other wing as long as they are mainly the wing they identify with, so it kinda does make sense. I wonder if you would call them right wing social and left wing economic. Kinda like how there is socially liberal, fiscal conservatives. I wonder if they are the opposite of that.

There has been a term for that. It used to be called a "Blue Dog Democrat". To some extent, that's how I describe myself.

@WilliamPamer446 Socially, I do lean left. I'm against the death penalty but I'm against releasing violent criminals because somehow society failed them. I'm all for a clean environment but against crippling an economy to make it happen in 10 years. I'm all for letting people seek asylum but totally against wide open borders, while claiming everybody coming across is "seeking asylum". I think you get what I'm saying. All that I said, in today's political climate, makes me an out of touch white supremacist.

I think there lacks nuance in contemporary politics I think when it comes to something like policing you need to be more nuanced. I believe in rehabilitation for non violent crimes or things that shouldn't even be crimes and that anyone can be rehabiliated and redeemed but they gotta choose to be better and I don't think we need to coddle violent criminals just because society may have failed them they can be rehabiliated but you dont let them out until you know they been rehabilitated Your ideas are interesting and yeah because the contemporay left is over usingwith the term white supremacist racist sexist homophobic etc but its ironic they leave out prejudice agaainst autistic people I Have autism and adhd myself they leave out us they seem to favor the other minority gruops over us and they do things that hurt us by the way

a lot of your views are good and I agree with them for the most part and Im an independant with strong libertarian and liberal social views, right wing, distrubutist and libertarian economics and maybe slight left wing center left socialist policies and some traditional social views.

I don't think what passes for the "right" nowadays, gives a shit about socialism or communism.

They will use whatever economic or governing principles that allow for the establishment of their political ideology. it is no longer about the market, business friendly policies, etc.

If a business does not get onboard with the political agenda, they will use the government to shut that business down. Remember, they claimed youtube was blocking their free speech.

Not really. But in some ways the very far right and very far left have a lot in common. There is no way that socialism could be right wing. It's like totally opposite of conservatism, and not just the economic side of it. Although something they both might have in common is being anti-aristocracy.

It sounds like he's way out there and just making shit up. Never in my life have I heard any type of conservative advocate socialism. He's totally out on some fringe and I don't mean alt-right. I doubt if there is even a name for that type of thinking.
