How does our country feel about a multi-billionaire is buying up a lot of farmland in our nation?

I've been telling everyone who'll listen to do what they can to start producing their own food. Hunting, fishing, or even just growing crops. Something as simple as a few indoor potted vegetable plants could make all the difference if things go tits-up. And if they don't, then hey, you're still saving money.

I dont particularly care. It is the results of farmers (and others) voting conservatives for their entire lives, the chickens are just coming home to roost. If anything, this is the most "American" thing I have ever seen. A rich dude having the freedom to do whatever he wants at the expense of society.

Gas prices is a MAJOR thing that'll increase food costs.
Prices of pesticides & fertilizers are increasing so farmers have to recope somehow.
Foreign countries/companies purchasing meat processing plants.
