Because this is a terrible platform to cite fact. You can't even post a picture or link until a couple hundred answers in. Here's a question, who made you arbitrator of the distinction between opinion and fact as it pertains to this site or its users? Because most people think that if they are telling the truth of their testimonial then it must be a fact because they are honestly not lying but what they get mad at is that when someone challenges their truthful testimonial and this rubs them the wrong way because after all, they were not lying. They honestly think that not lying is enough for people to believe them, honestly if you may not be lying you might be making a mistake in your testimonial and most people don't like being proven to have made a mistake especially when they believe that they were telling the truth and not lying.

That is a common problem with sites like this one, especially on political posts. People just want other people to echo their opinions.

That's what you're going to encounter for your whole life and in every avenue, not just on here. For instance, how many times have you argued with someone over something you did or didn't do? In many such cases, there are facts and opinions about said actions.
