America can only be great if it becomes a coherent nation again. We need to discard this multicultural, ambiguous blob that doesn't mean anything to anyone. Nobody knows, or cares, what an American is; so, they have to hyphenate and expand their identity for it to feel salient (e. g. black American, Mexican, American, Gay, Pan, Trans, etc.).

First we need to shut down the southern border, and deport everyone who is here illegally (including DACA). We can do this by sending the national guard to border states to boost the detainment ability of border patrol, and update our work authorization process to punish companies who hire these people out of existence. Fines will also be enforced on anyone who rents to illegal aliens. Simultaneously, trains and busses will be made available for these people to bring them back across the border at no charge.

Education needs to be completely revamped, with two main goals: (1) instill nationalist pride (CRT and Gay pride are out), and (2) make our people competitive globally. Gen eds will be knocked out by 7th grade (including what's now 12th grade Math/ Science), then only the best and brightest (as determined by national exams) are to go on to higher education. Others will be offered positions in the military, trade programs, community college free for those lower-level business/ healthcare positions, starting around 14. By the time the upper intellectual echelon is 18 they'll be entering their doctoral level studies, or practicing engineers.

The government will promote and subsidize marriage and having children. Healthcare, food, etc. will be free across the board for those who work and have families. Community organizations should be set up for clubs/ social events to instill community connections among people.

Lastly, pay will be adjusted for inflation as well as corporate profits. A single family breadwinner will be able to support a family of five, including purchasing a house/ condo, a car or two, and vacations. 5 day work weeks will be come, processes will be improved, and free time to enjoy your life will be just as important as going to work.

All social contagions (LGBTQ) will be eradicated, including therapy for those afflicted, or punishment for those who can't resist exercising their perversion in public.

Revamp the government, it’s supposed to be We The People not the government ruling us, we are supposed to be in control of the government not government controlling us but something went wrong. We are supposed to have the power by voting officials in they we see fit but it doesn’t seem like it works anymore. We also need to bring manufacturing jobs back here and make it work with fair wages somehow and a profit

You stated the problem in your reply: "voting in officials THEY see fit". Candidates who buck the system like Trump did are generally stopped from running, or if they can't be stopped are smeared and opposed with every tool at the elites disposal. Lookbat all the anti-trump programming that the weak minded steeple are subject to and swallow unquestioning, even years after he is out of power?

@Sixgunsound Well I mean us voting in officials that will do the job and yeah they are still bashing Trump because they are afraid of him getting elected again so I guess they are afraid he will get rid of them like last time to clean it up again

Almost every single candidate presented to voters has already been bought or threatened into submission. Nobody at the time took Trump seriously, and even after he got in look how hard HIS OWN PARTY clapped back! Who needs demoncats when you have republicrats like that as frenemies?

I don’t feel like America has ever been “great” on a social level, not for everyone, so I’d like to see much more progress in that area.

The thing that was maybe once great about America was that, at least for white folks, you could live that M-F 9-5 lifestyle and get by. You didn’t have to go to college, or do anything special, just show up willing to put in an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay.

My dad is 91, he tells me how you used to just be able to get a job at a bank or something, work there for 40 years, you wouldn’t be rich but you could live an average suburban life with your family and the pets and the white picket fence and go on an annual summer vacation.

It’s insane to me that we have all the technological advances we have now compared to then, and it hasn’t shifted to a five hour work day or a three day work week for the same money, the business owners just kept the extra money as “profits” and just found new ways to keep the workers busy. It’s really out of control now, now you’re getting hit with after work emails demanding immediate attention, etc, etc, and just plain and simple, the business owners have won by a landslide. Our lives don’t have to be like this but they make it so.

So I guess I’d like to see a new and improved version of that old lifestyle, but make it readily and easily available for EVERYONE, not just white dudes.

Why did you have to bring race and gender into this? America is still one of the hardest working countries in the world and I’m proud of that. Go back to Europe. You’ll work five hour days three days a week.

@Unknown29 It would be foolish to pretend that white men haven’t had a HUGE advantage in American society that we’re really just beginning to correct over the last 25-30 years, plus there’s a lot of off-the-books-but-in-the-brain prejudice in people that affects equality to this day. I think it’s very relevant to mention, since we’re talking about making America great “again”, which would suggest that it was at one time great…. yet those times they harken back to seem to be the mid-20th century, days that passed before Civil Rights were a thing, so I don’t think the time period was all that great, due to that. I’m not an “ends justifies the means” guy, play within the lines of absolute decency and succeed or fail however it shakes out.

I admire the European attitude towards work, it’s much more reasonable towards the worker, who I’m much more concerned about than the businessman. The point of life should not be near-endless work.

Well that’s what America stands for. Freedom and hard work. Take a look at uk and Germanys gpd per capita vs US and you’ll see why lower taxes and hard work make us the richest country on earth. I know poor envy that, but in America, if you’re willing to work and have an iq above 90, in a few years you can be making hundreds of thousands per year. No where else in the world Is like that.
You said the point in life should not be near endless work.
What is the point in life then?
Is it sitting around playing video games?

And I’m not racist, and I don’t want us to go back to being racist, but I DEFINITELY don’t agree with modern liberals on race. Example:
Let’s ban police dogs because of race discrimination.

Sorry I don’t mean to be rude just have strong feelings.

@Unknown29 I’m not really a person who sees prosperity as a measure of quality of life, in fact, I’d argue the pursuit of it is one of our species’ greatest follies.

The point of life is doing what makes your heart sing, with the limited time we get on the planet. I’m not much for video games myself. But the pursuit of peak physical fitness, playing various sports, and bass fishing could keep me occupied for my entire lifetime, and that’s before we even get into chasing skirts, lmao.

If dedicating yourself to Christianity is what gives you purpose, knock yourself out.

I have no reason to believe you’re racist, I don’t even know what race or combination of races you are. I’m not aware of the police dogs argument, so I can’t really speak on that. I would say that I don’t think the law is always applied evenly and/or the judicial system experience is always the same for everyone, for a variety of reasons that would necessitate a whole separate discussion, so I’ll just keep it brief and broad here.

You haven’t been rude, no worries👍

      @white
I Appreciate the clear reply. When I said video games, I meant just sitting around wasting time. I hate seeing people just throwing their lives away. It’s such a miserable state in my opinion. I know there’s lots of poor people who just don’t work because they’re lazy, and yet the government wants to support them. There’s some city’s in the US (liberal ran) that actually encourages homelessness. So sad. If those people would get a job, stick with it, they could become millionaires. Instead, they beg the rich to be taxed more so they can be paid for nothing. They say the rich are lucky (some are) but most I know worked hard for their money and you’d never know they were rich.
About the point in life, to me I don’t understand the point in life if you’re gonna die at the end. I was raised Christian, and it’s been confirmed to me that it’s the truth. I am not Christian because it gives me a point in life, I’m Christian because I love the Lord, and want to serve him.

      I understand that everybody’s different.
I’ll go along with the bass fishing!
FYI I make a middle class wage

When I started thinking about this question, too many things came up.

    End political corruption.

Audit every single gov't agency annually.

Chop the shit out the FBI and especially the CIA and monitor the shit out of their activities.

End the goal of U. S. control over the world.

Return to a constitutional republic and end the UNITED STATED OF AMERICA Corporation of Washington DC.

    End the Federal Reserve.

Break up large banks and control by global bankers.

    Honor the Bill of Rights.

    End corporate and gov't collusion.

    End corporate monopolies.

End international agreements and treaties that override our laws.

Return to a progressive income tax with a 95% rate on the highest incomes and make impossible hide money off shore for the simple reason too much money in an individual's hands gives them too much power and leads to oligarchy.

End government secrecy and make it safe to practice journalism.

Make vaccine manufacturers subject to liability.

Hold executives personally accountable for corporate crimes with criminal and civil penalties.

Make it a crime to perform medical "gender transitioning" procedures.

Make it a crime to subject minors to perversion.

End the violent war on drugs and focus on illicit manufacturing and gang activity.

    End transhumanist experiments.

Legalize and regulate prostitution to end trafficking and organized crime.

Jeeez. There is so much more. Every one of these things would require an essay or book to explain.

    In the end, it's impossible.

I would hold people accountable for their actions and behavior. Even make judges responsible for their decisions. If their decisions break the law. Then they will be prosecuted. They are paid to know the laws! If the President ignores the Constitution or allows things to happen that is later found to go against the laws on the books. He should have to answer for his illegal activities.
Politicians need to be required to have at least two debates before any voting takes place. Maybe for good measure. Hook them up to a polygraph machine during the debates. One that would shock them would be great!
Back in my day. A handshake was more binding than a contract in most cases!

    Better politicians.

A healthier construction industry. There needs to be better accessibility to homes and way better infrastructure.

A well supported agriculture industry to be 100% self sufficient in food.

A modernisation of power plants, transport infrastructure and civil defense.

Import duties of at least 150% on anything that is produced in China.

Family #1 and in order for it to be #1 there needs to be good jobs, time to end foreign outsourcing.

Better and more effective defense, science and technology spending.

    A good immigration policy.

You’re mostly right. I appreciate your anti-drug stance. What a lot of people don’t understand is that drugs kill over double the amount of people guns do (google it) and drugs deaths are increasing by the day but guns get all blame. Liberals don’t have common sense.

DismNtle our current government completed and re evaluate every person whom has any kind of power in the government, if they aren’t up to standards or corruption is found, fire them and hire replacements. Get rid of every single person in the justice system, and create a new fair justice system. As well as new police training techniques to prevent goons from joining the force, weed them out like BUDS training. I could go on and on

This simple question presented a challenge to our subjects. When WAS America great? Was it the 50s? Well, no, segregation was rampant then. Was it the 1800s? Sure, except for whole slavery thing. Turns out, this idea of "making America great again" was built on a shaky foundation.

Before anything can be done, both the Democrats and Republicans must be forced out of power. That's mean electing more 3rd party candidates so they would have at least 34% of both the House and Senate.

The politics today have move from the moderate center to the extreme left & right. This must change to give the country the opportunity to be all-encompassing as the fore fathers envisioned.

Libertarianism. More freedom. Less control. Less federal power, more power relegated to the states. Start treating states like independent entities like they are and were initially meant to be. Stop trying to impose your political will into states that you should have no say in. And err in the side of caution when imposing your will on others in general.

    Make America free again.

@Vegasrunner I grew up in the 50's, 60's and 70's on the West Coast.
Things are never perfect anywhere, but when I look back, it was pretty uneventful compared to what's happening every single day here in America 🇺🇸. I mean, there is some big upheaval from the democrats about something every freaking day!! It's really gotten out of hand. America sucks now and I don't even recognize it as my country I once knew. That is a stark difference from the 30 years growing up here.

@sage2021 You mean America was better for you? I can't speak for my mom but, my guess is America is a lot better for her now that the laws have deemed it acceeptable to take a piss on road trips In my lifetime, I would say America is much better than it was 25 years ago, as more people that look like me including myself have been provided opportunities they would have previously never received. In fact I can't think of a time in American history that a person of color would go back on and consider better. I'm making the assumption that you are female, white and over the age if 60 so I could see how America could have been specifically better for you in the 50's and 60's.
