Why isn’t the US calling out China about the fentanyl crisis?

Anonymous

I’ve been reading more and more about how drug busts and discoveries of fentanyl in mass quantities in Mexico.

The blame is always 100% fixated on Mexican criminal organizations. However it’s really the Chinese black market that is directly responsible for providing Mexican cartels the precursor agents to create fentanyl pills. Without Chinese supplies they wouldn’t be able to create recreational fentanyl in the first place.

China has extremely strict anti drug laws and a very powerful (often brutal) government that has no qualms about executing drug traffickers. It’s no secret that if you get involved with the drug market in China your days are numbered. Doesn’t matter what kind of drug either. They can technically execute you for having over 50 grams of cannabis. Yet it seems that only more and more fentanyl is being produced and shipped to the USA and Mexico. Why?

Now I highly doubt the Chinese government is openly green flagging this bs. But given how fentanyl is directly harming a major geopolitical enemy it wouldn’t surprise me at all that the PRC is turning a blind eye on aggressive law enforcement. Sure the PRC might “say” they are working hard to combat fentanyl production and might show a few examples of a lab bust here or there But I highly doubt they care about cracking down on this production in mass

But why is it that whenever China does something to harm the US and/or the rest of the world it gets downplayed by our mass media and many of our politicians?

Tbh I didn’t ask this question to bash Biden despite being disgusted with his policy. You would think at least other people like Texas governor would say something.

Also if China really did effectively crack down on this like pink anon claimed and moved operations to India, why aren’t we calling out India. Their government might not be as powerful as China but they aren’t nowhere near as corrupt as Mexico?

I understand the drug trade is often a near futile game of whackamole. Given the extremely lucrative nature of the fentanyl trade it’s damn near impossible to stop. But fentanyl by far is the most deadly, dangerous and destructive drug modern society has ever seen. Most people become quickly addicted even after only trying it once. Horrifyingly easy to OD. I knew someone who died from accidentally ingesting the wrong dosage.
