America used to give a damn about stamping out any inequalities that remained in the country. We have even fought a war with our own borders over it.

That suddenly stopped in around the 80's and we have been slowly regressing to the applause of the equivalent of the Twitter and Tumblr mobs. The fact that the US is still called the "land of the free" today is a joke. False advertising at this point.
