Men got the right to vote before women because they were subject to mandatory military conscription. If a man elected another to represent him in the government, that representative could then vote to send him to war. Men, being the exclusive victims of forced military conscription ought to have more of a right and say. Men got a privilege and that privilege came with a corresponding responsibility. That corresponding responsibility was that you have to go to France and die in the trenches. You have to go get trench foot. You have to be subject to getting chemically gassed by the germans.

No. Men got the right to vote because the idea was that each household would get one vote, and the idea was that the man was the head of it, as he bore the rights and responsibilities that came with it. They were also subject to battle slavery LONG before democracy came on the scene.
If you focus on things here in the US, it's even worse, since many men were denied the right to vote purely on the basis of skin color, without a corresponding reprieve from thralldom.
Now, logically speaking, the thirteenth Amendment should prohibit this- it DOES, in fact- but the Supreme Court, as an institution, lacks the courage to enforce this. The fourteenth Amendment, too, prohibits the sexist discrimination in the operation of the SS; the most recent SC case claimed it was acceptable since women weren't allowed in front line combat. That hasn't been the case for years, and so a case (lead by the National Coalition for Men) was making its way through the court system, climbing rather rapidly and on pace to make it to Washington, when the attorney leading the charge was murdered in 2020, and then Biden won the election and told the Court to not hear the case, since they'd be sneaking in a provision to the defense bill (they did, as usual, and the Republicans killed it, as usual).
Voting is not a "privilege", it's the entire basis of representative democracy.
NamerOfStars got it right. Not much more to add.
