Origin but also quality.

An acquaintance of my family runs a profitable luxury hotel chain spread in many countries.

They wanted to open up in Scandinavia where I live. During their research it turned out they could not meet their standard quality when employing scandinavians.

Of course it is not that people here are incapable of working in service but the entire view on it is different. Here, ignoring someone unless they need help, is seen as the ideal approach. As such while any issues are sorted and well handled eventually, people often have to ask. Having to ask simply wasn't good enough. Training the employees to diverge from their culture ended up not working out.

Not having an active tipping culture - in fact tips are somewhat frowned upon here - also caused issues.

My long-winded point is that not every country has a suitable hotel-culture. I do not know India all too well but am of the impression that India has one that fits it well.

Coz they easily allow couples to come on an hourly basis and even without much checking and with local id.

Cause, they come with less cost with basic and needful amenities.
