Who was the best US president?

None were perfect. I'll have a mob after me if I don't at least mention Lincoln, but I'd also throw in George Washington, Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, Harry Truman, and Teddy Roosevelt, in most cases, because they had one major standout success that other presidents around them actively avoided.
Lincoln: Despite multiple early blunders by the government and military, and directly inheriting a civil war situation from Buchanan (one of the worst) and unfortunately dying and passing the reigns to Johnson (also one of the worst), he reunited the country and set the course for reconstruction and reconciliation. He's both overrated and underrated.
Washington: He could've made himself a king if he wanted to, but chose not to. He also could've joined or formed a political party if he desired, but actively refused and even warned against them, many years ahead of his time. He also effectively set standards of presidential conduct solely as a living example that were largely honored by his successors without formal regulation for over a century.
Coolidge: This is the closest thing the US has ever had to having a president who didn't fix what wasn't broken, and quietly kept everything running reasonably well without a fuss. Maybe it's just good timing on his part, maybe he was just the quiet guy who didn't feel like he needed to set fire tosomething to be remembered.
Reagan: I'm actually a lot less warm to this guy than I used to be, but he completely reversed the screwups of the Carter, Ford, Nixon, and Kennedy administrations despite the fact it's pretty obvious his own party wasn't all that interested. Unfortunately, everyone who followed up until Trump was mediocre at best.
Trump is/was at the very least, proof that the US does not and probably never needed the permanent unappointed bureaucracy class that has been more or less ruling the country since FDR's administration. It's a shame his own party blocked anything meaningful from passing into permanence, but it's a safe bet that the country would have no idea just how wildly corrupt the government is if Trump's mere presence wasn't like sunlight to vampires to them. He attempted to end the "forever wars," actually brokered deals and treaties the "experts" called impossible, and received no less than three Nobel peace prize nominations. His methods most closely resemble...
Teddy Roosevelt. Like Reagan, I've lost a lot of love for this guy, but that doesn't change the fact he's a major reason why the US became a major world power, and that pursuing diplomacy by "speaking softly but carry a big stick," which Trump heavily emulated, is effective. If it weren't for the riding world power aspect, I would've skipped him though.
Truman: Truman made an extremely hard decision to commit an experimental atrocity that killed hundreds of thousands in order to save at least a million by official estimates of the time, thus ending world war 2 rather than letting it continue to attrit everyone involved, and also likely result in the western allies and Soviet union going to war- I have serious doubts that any president that followed him other than *maybe* Trump would've made the same call. He also opted to bow out of politics and wanted nothing to do with Washington after his last term. Before that, he also cheated in his medical exam to enlist in the Army for world war 1, which makes him the last example of an NCO rather than an officer holding the position, and one of the only presidents who seems to have sincerely wanted to do what he believed was the right/dutiful decision regardless of his public image.
It might be Lincoln,. He navigated the country through a civil war. but I also think Teddy Roosevelt, FDR and John F Kennedy were good presidents. Trump is the best president in modern times. He got a lot done in just one term. The country really started to turn around after he was elected.

President Donald J Trump 🙏🇺🇸❤️👍🙂 He kept every single one of his promises and things were great. He truly Made America Great Again! We had Respect from the world not just being pushed around. The way things are going now - We Need Him Back! Trump 2024! 🙏🇺🇸❤️👍🙂
So he repealed “ObamaCare”?
He placed a lifetime ban on WH officials lobbying for foreign governments?
He approved the Keystone XL project?
He invested 550 billion dollars in infrastructure projects?
That’s just a few of his broken promises, there are a lot more. You may love the guy and that’s fine but don’t try and dress it up as more than it is
There's no way to say who is the best president because it particularly matters in what era they were living in and how people viewed them of that time.
People will always have their favorite besr when it comes to musicians, athletes, Hollywood stars and politicians.
*best
Probably Polk. He's the only one (aside from Washington) who kept every single campaign promise and never violated the Constitution even ONCE. Washington himself was pretty good, too.
Trump, of course!! Look at all the great things he's done for this country!
I would say Obama. I think he was better at handling things as compared to others.
Trump.
Biden is retarded.
Calvin Coolidge
