I see many men who think that the modern feminist movement is considered stupid, so why is it considered stupid

+1 yBecause it's degenerated into a hate movement that serves no purpose but creating social division. With a few rare exceptions over the centuries and planet, women have never been oppressed- they have been protected. Now, to be protected means to be restricted (which is why you don't see people breakdancing in plate armor), and you would no doubt say that some of those restrictions have been excessive, and I would agree- perhaps not on the exact specifics, but the idea in general, certainly.
But while the rational course of action would be to remove the legal differences and push for changing the social ones, then waiting a generation or two for things to even out, Feminism opted for seeing disparities in outcomes between men and women, and immediately, incontrovertibly, and forever concluded that these disparities were the result of discrimination against women. Women have their accomplishments taken less seriously, in no small part due to the obstacles men face that they don't, and Feminism decides that the solution is to remove obstacles that women DO face, which just exacerbates the problem.
Ultimately, Feminism is about protecting women from the horrors of personal accountability, and its effects are devastating. Women's brains are wired somewhat differently from men's, and among other things, they often have stronger emotion reactions to what happens in their lives. Okay, fair enough; do we teach our daughters to plan to compensate for that when dealing with men? No- we tell them that it's CUTE when you get mad at your boyfriend because you had a dream that he cheated on you. Women, being smaller and weaker than men, are more vulnerable than them to physical attack. Okay, fair enough; do we teach them to accurate assess the situations around them, and learn to defend themselves? No- we tell them that every man is a potential threat, and it's society's responsibility that you FEEL safe. Not FEELING safe is seen as an attack, and so women are told that they always need to be careful of violence, because it's always waiting right around to corner to victimize them. This, despite the fact that worldwide, there isn't a single form of violence that has more female than male victims.
I could keep on with more examples, but the net result is that women are overwhelmingly infantilized: told that they have NO power and NO ability to improve their lives or the world in any way, and that the only power out there even trying to help them is Feminism- which is exactly the thing undermining them and keeping them from achieving their potential. It claims that it wants women in every boardroom, then keeps women from developing themselves to the point that they can compete with men in a straight competition.
Obviously, this doesn't produce the desired results, so it also teaches women that men are unfairly advantaged, even in the areas where it's WOMEN who have the edge- not because it's true, but because always feeling like you're a victim makes you much less likely to try and fix the situation and much more likely to turn to the outside force to do all your fighting- and ultimately, thinking- for you.
Erin Pizzey is a hero by anyone's definition- she's the one who set up the world's first abused women's shelter, at least in the modern age. That was back in the early seventies in the UK, and it helped protect a LOT of vulnerable people. Pizzey, a staunch Feminist at the time, enjoyed the support of the movement and its organizations- up until she committed the great blasphemies of 1. pointing out that many of the women Chiswick (the organization she'd started) were psychologically damaged people who needed to reframe their own mental processes and drop their victim complexes to get by in the world, and 2. suggesting that there were also battered and abused men who needed similar shelters, too. That was all it took; the movement turned on her and hounded out of the country, ahead of death threats and possibly even a few actual murder attempts. Needless to say, she's left the movement.
I could go on, but I'm running out of space, so I'll just say that the only purpose Feminism serves is making men and women alike into slaves of Feminism. THAT is why it's objected to so strongly.

+1 yBecause the "3rd Wave" of Feminism today is really cultural femi (commu) nism. From infancy, it treats boys like they are defective girls, and as people mature it is about man hating in general. It is Marxism applied to genders, and men are the new Bourgeois to hate.
Anyone who still has any positive views of Feminism today is still thinking of the "Second Wave" of 50 odd years ago, and to be honest, even *that* has become problematic.
For example, I remember when "second wave" feminist Gloria Steinhem shouted that what she wanted was "a humanizing of gender roles - not an exchanging of them!"
And you know what? She was right. Definitely humanize the gender roles. But instead, we got (1) a *denial* of gender roles, and (2) an attempt to *negate* them. To society's peril. Reality is what it is. And that is where "second wave" feminism went off the rails, and how we got the "3rd Wave" madness we now have.

good parallel, and even here i saw a question why are white men so toxic, a fruit of the misnamed feminism.

+1 yWhat, exactly, are you hoping to get from it? You want equality? Okay then, I'll start wearing skirts, dresses and pantyhose! You want equal pay? You had that almost ever since you entered the work force! In some cases you get MORE pay, like, when you wait tables! You get tips!! I never get tips at the print shop and, even if I WAS a waiter and got tips, they'd be nowhere near as big as yours because you're a girl and people tip women more than men! You want equality in hiring? Okay, tell them to start hiring men at Hooters.
What the hell else could you possibly want? You get freebies nearly everywhere you go, you get loads of discounts I never get. If you flash YOUR tits, you get VIP treatment! If I flash mine, I get shown the door and probably arrested!! If I flash your tits, I go to jail while YOU get the VIP treatment!! Guys protect you everywhere you go, you get all the nice clothes and all the great sex toys, if you work in porn, you just lay there and let the guy do all the work and YOU get all the money!! If you marry someone and then decide to divorce him, you get half of everything he owns and monthly payments from him!!
And, on top of everything else, you get HALF the money and ALL the pussy!! What more could you want?
Big deal!! You have to put up with periods, cramps, pregnancy and sometimes huge tits and a few guys that might whistle at you, which is just their way of saying, you look great!! Boo hoo!!12 Reply- +1 y
superb comeback!

3.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. there's a laundry list of reasons why ranging from mixed messages to double standards to contradictions to propaganda and cancel culture
many of the issues feminism brings up are not even gendered specifically, many are completely one-sided, can be debunked and are usually misleading
for example rape and murder can happen to anyone but feminists like to highlight women as victims and refuse to acknowledge men can be victims too
also there's the gender pay gap that takes numbers completely out of context and doesn't factor in the work hours or the type of job men and women typically take
plus there's nonsensical issues feminists like to bring up like "free the nipple" and the "fat acceptance movement" and also "manspreading" which aren't even real issues
though the biggest issue is the fact feminism can't be criticized at all not without being accused of being a sexist, misogynist, incel, bigot, prude, pick me girl etc.

lucky you 4 hours later you have not been censored for saying the ugly truth...
1.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I've never said it was stupid, dangerous yes, insidious definitely, mendacious absolutely, but not stupid. Far from it, a propaganda machine and a hate movement hiding behind the language of inclusion and acceptance.
20 ReplyI personally don't think this in the slightest. Feminism is probably as crucial as ever.
Men that don't consider themselves feminists should ask themselves what world they would like for their daughters13 Reply- +1 y
Please do elaborate. Personally I find the concept that it's one or the other quite strange. In my personal opinion it's about gender equality, equal rights etc?
I don't really feel the average man in society has anywhere near the workplace, courtroom and human rights battles that women face. Policies are going backwards in regards to abortions, pay, rape when in marriage. It's insane. I'd like my Son to grow up in a world where people no matter of race, gender, religious beliefs or social background have a fair and equal say and experience.

Feminism has reduced the rights of men who have been accused of serious crimes, has created a training system for police, social workers snd the courts that assumes that domestic violence is a crime perpetrated by men upon women (though modern studies show that women are the more violent partner in het normative relationships). Have blocked legislation that would de gender rape, have lobbied for female criminals to be treated less harshly and have called for law makers to be removed who have had the audacity to suggest that female criminals are just as bad as male.
Have prosecuted the VICTIM of rape for having a rapist who was too drunk to consent to the act of raping him.
Have minimized and trivialized many of these issues. And actively fight organizations that work towards equality.
Corrupted form of communism. Replace workers party with gender. Show me just one matriarchy in all of human history that lasted over 300 years. Can't be done because it never happened.. They last until they are invaded.

But then, they are usually referring to misandry, not feminism.

that is your tool name calling towards quality and relevant criticism. why dont you start by reading the two sides, in the replies here, instead of calling people incel.
6.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The men who feel that way don't know what feminism means. They aren't the best and brightest and are threatened by accomplished women.
01 ReplyI understand and I advocate human rights and equality for everyone. However, modern feminism like everything else is radical and commercial. Hence, stupid and they don't even know what was written before or what they actually fight for.

Asker+1 yfirst of all, im Asian girl. So, i ask about this. Because i ve read about that at google but i don't really find what's problem with this "feminist" thing. But i always see everywhere, something like social media guys/men are like to says "now western women like shits because feminist" or something same like that
Opinion Owner+1 yOk you're Asian, but do you live in the US?
Asker+1 yno i'm not, I live outside the US. I ask this because I'm confused why men hate this modern feminist movement, because as far as I've read in this article, it's a good movement. But ok, maybe I don't know too much about this yet.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yBecause it operates purely under the guise of equality. Which hasn't been true for some time.
