democrats before: there's no complete good or bad guy in war its nuanced democrats now: nuanced conversation shoud be taboo, NATO and federal reserve and anti war positions should be discard, we should stop criticizing global elite, we should trust the media now cuz they got fact checkers, and the opposition are a threat to democracy
6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Loyal Democrats today are uncritical of their party and political representatives. They consume corporate news exclusively. They trust government institutions like the State Department, CIA, FBI, and regulatory agencies. They don't think critically at all. So they believe what the news tells them about this or that threat and how the government is defending democracy and human rights when the actual truth is obviously and demonstrably the opposite.
Many Republicans are the same way. But there are more and more critical thinkers who search for information from non-corporate media sources. And those people realize that U. S. aggression is not defensive. It's for global domination of resources and corporate profit. It benefits globalist elites at the expense of America, it's citizens, and people around the world.

Times have changed, and for the worse. Over 500 deadly riots of the summer of 2020, and the Dems loved it. Trump offered to fly over and negotiate a peace treaty between Ukraine and Russia. The Dems hated the idea of Trump making peace. They would rather see little kids get killed. - +1 y
Grassy ass! I made it just for the occasion.

Russia invaded Ukraine and Ukraine is defending itself (very successfully I might add). Its one of the most easily distinguishing black and white issues I have ever seen in my life. Russia is obviously in the wrong here.

this question wasn't about knocking ukraine
russia is wrong but what lead to the war and how to handle it and who is making money and all these other things and what can it lead to if we interfere and what can happen and what can happen if we end up getting mroe and more involved see all my other points there are cold war tension that can rise there's a lot mroe than surface level i didn't ask if russia was wrong u guys have been talking about russia for years and making up conspiracy theories. i think ukraine is being used by the federal reserve, and the global elites. and i think that lead to unneccesarily antaganizing russia i want some time of peace why can't u guys give me that a world war would affect children - +1 y
my main concern is how it can affect the world around if we aid them to much considering the peoplewho own are weapons make money off illegal wars twice and dont seem to care who lives and who dies etc
if they dont care about us why would they care about ukraine
and we got enough things in america we gotta take care of.

I am a bit confused here, you do realize that countries are not people right? What the people want and what countries want are not the same thing, countries just pursues their own self interests. Countries like USA giving military aid to Ukraine has nothing to do with what the people wants and all about what is in the best interest of USA as a country. There is no direct connection there.

Funny how corporate news and idiots who consume it cared nothing about Ukrainians being slaughtered by their own government, beginning in 2014. But when Russia stepped in to defend them in 2022, suddenly Russia is a murderous aggressor. However, when the U. S. supports actual Nazis on Russia's border, we are on the side of righteousness.
Funny how Hillary cackled about the torture murder of Gadaffi and the destruction of Libya, the most prosperous country in Africa with a standard of living beyond that of the west. Why? So we could steal their gold, plunder their resources, and make Israel happy.
Funny how idiots cheered for shock and awe in Iraq. Kill! Kill! Kill! Loot! Destroy!
Funny how people swallowed the idea that radical Islamist, head chopping, barbarian mercenaries were Syrian freedom fighters and Assad was a brutal dictator.
Funny how people justify Israel's sadistic genocide of Palestinians and hatred of Arabs.
Yep, Democrats will believe whatever they are told and support whatever its party does. They are in no way liberal.
What ever happened to the liberalism of peace, love, tolerance, fairness, justice, love of liberty, distrust of authority and opposition to aggression? Modern liberalism is the opposite and Democrats are neoliberal. - +1 y
Erm.. Yes you can. Even in cases like North Korea where the country is theoretically following the whims of a single man, the country still follows national interests rather than the interests of the leader.
The start of the Russian invasion and all that nonsense beforehand such as the creation of the "independent states" of Luhansk and Donetsk is entirely down to Russias security needs. It was inevitable ever since Ukraine broke away from Russian control during the recent revolution where they send the Ukrainian president packing because he was a Russian puppet, because again, Russia needed Ukraine for their security so they had already corrupted their politics at that time to direct control like they have done in Belarus.
Provoking or not provoking Putin makes literally zero difference here. Russia would have taken these steps with or without provocations. It is founded in Russian political philosophy such as the Heartland theory and lack of defensible terrain which allows Europe to easily just march armies into Moscow. Furthermore, Russia just lost their USSR empire and is aiming to reclaim it for some childish dream of reclaiming a superpower status. - +1 y
However you slice it, Russia has engineered this war for basically a decade at this point and long before it started. You can't stop that, but you can stop Russia because they are not going to stop with Ukraine. Russia is just going to keep going and going and going until someone stops them because that is in their national interest.
This however is where Ukraine comes in. Ukraine has already stopped Russia and they literally can't do anything about it. If you want to re-establish peace and stability in that region then it becomes critical that Ukraine not only wins but that Ukraine becomes powerful enough that Russia can't just invade it in 5 years after they recover their forces again. Even better if Russia suffer such a massive loss that there is a political re-alignment and change in national interest so they stop doing all this retarded moves. All of this hinges on giving Ukraine more and more support. - +1 y
@Lliam If you are talking about the two separatist states in Ukraine that Russia created then Ukraine has full authority and right to retake their land and crush those separatists. Also, Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia is the aggressor in this scenario and considering they already sponsored and created the separatist states AND invaded and annexed Crimea before hand I do not want to hear any lazy excuses about how Russia is benevolent when they are literally the cause of all of this.
- +1 y
@Lliam I please, I know more about the history and the current circumstances surrounding Russia and Ukraine than your entire family combined. In fact, I am on record saying Russia would get its ass destroyed if they invaded Ukraine before the invasion actually happened because I knew about the poor state of the Russian military and the massive buildup and overhaul of Ukraines military, something you idiots appear to have missed.

you coalled us idiots which is rude and what do u think would happen
why would we mess with russia if there that dangerous? do u really wanna flirt ieth nuclear war? then ukraine and us are in danger - +1 y
This war sort of disproves the "global elite" as a united group. Mainly because it splits Russia and China away from USA and Europe with both sides having some of the most powerful and influential people on the planet. As such, there is no unified group of elites controlling the world and there is no "new world order".
As for the federal reserve? Its separated from the US government and as such has no influence either in this case. The people who orchestrated this war are the Russians and no one but the Russians. Even the Chinese are upset at Russia for starting it.
My knowledge of Russia and Ukraine is aggregated from everywhere. More importantly, it has been mostly proven to be correct. The one thing I predicted wrong is that I thought Putin was more competent than he actually was, mainly in that if I knew Ukraine would kick Russias ass then I thought he would know that too and not launch a doomed invasion that might destroy Russia itself.
Just like the war in Ukraine, most wars tends to have a fairly simple reasoning behind them. One country has a national interest that makes it worth starting a war with another. The exceptions to this would be like in WW1 where it all just started from a convoluted mess even though war was inevitable at some point. - +1 y
But be that as it may, Russia attacking Ukraine is inevitable. The question was always just in what form this would materialize in. Previously they had subverted Ukraines government by corrupting their president. After Ukraine removed this corruption and started to realign with Europe and NATO that put Russia on a definite timelimit that meant they had to take more direct actions. The 2 separatist states and the annexing of Crimea using "little green men" are examples of this escalating desperation from Russias side.
The actual invasion however was the ultimate form of this Russian desperation to retain Ukraine as part of their empire and also Putins biggest mistake since he can't actually achieve this. To point out how foolish this is, Russia does not have enough troops or equipment to defeat Ukraine militarily. If they still managed to do this, Russia still does not have enough troops to occupy Ukraine and finally Russia does not have the ability to annex Ukraine. Currently Russia is failing on the invasion part, which is the EASIEST part of conquering another nation. They never even stood a chance of actual success.
So why would I want to "mess" with Russia? First of all, if I was actually afraid of Russia that would just motivate me further to ensure they lose this war because that would de-fang them and remove them as a threat. Secondly, people are incredibly worried about nuclear war but personally I am doubtful that Russias nukes actually work. I have seen the state of Russias army, if their nuclear arsenal is in a state anywhere similar then they can't be fired.
Lastly, this is Ukraine war to fight. I do not get to tell Ukraine to give up or to stop fighting. - +1 y
The programmers have created a perfect product in @Soteris. He goes on endlessly, as if he's an expert on a mission to set the facts straight. And he does get a lot of facts right, but what he either has no inkling about or conveniently omits lead to completely false conclusions. That's the spin.
It's probably just that he perfectly learns what the manipulators wanted him to learn. He has no idea; no agency. He's a product.
Sweden must have a very efficient mind control system. Either that, or he's employed as a troll for some agency or military unit, similar to the armies of trolls that Israel employs to spread misinformation, disinformation, and lies.

In comparison to the United States of America war vs war on terrorism in the middle east, Ukrainian forces are successful in everyway USA failed in the middle east. Ukrainian army takes control of a city and the people show love to the fighting force. In the American occupation of the middle east there was child suiside with grenades.
