Women are responsible for carrying their offspring for 9 months. Then must raise those children in today’s world. Sometimes raising them alone while getting paid less than men. Women must be more vigilant in finding a life long spouse to avoid a number of problems. Women are more susceptible to domestic violence. More susceptible to random violence. They are also more susceptible to becoming less attractive as they age and becoming unhappy has their hormone levels drop off. There are other factors not listed that can make being a woman more difficult.
Men are still perceived to be the major breadwinner even as wages are becoming more equal. Men are under pressure to be a decent father figure and have the stigma that not being available to help raise a family will lead to their children taking the wrong road in life. Men are seen as being a physical threat to other men and are the primary target by other men intending to do harm. Men are required to keep their urges to physically harm a woman or children in a father/husband/boyfriend role in check during difficult situations involving disputes with said wife/children/ girlfriend roles. Men are under the stress of protecting that same family from external threats. Men are more likely to spend time in jail/prison, skin color aside. More men are expected to be the ones that are responsible for building cities and towns. Men are more likely to destroy cities and towns through acts of war. Men are the largest group exposed to death and injury from said wars. There are other factors not listed that can make being a man more difficult.
I did note just now that my list for men is a bit longer. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that neither life is more difficult for men vs women.
Life is just hard and we aren’t asked ahead of time our opinion on being male/female/binary or whether or not we choose to even exist in the first place.
Majority of homeless are men and at least in the USA, women can easily get access to all kinds of welfare.
Men don't have the same option.
Women get taken care of and men do not.
But women have to deal with hoards of disgusting men who think of women as beneath them and it plays out in every aspect of our society. Women have the potential to be raped and kidnapped and sold into sex slavery and all kinds of terrible things that just come from the fact that too many men see women as little more than walking slippery holes to fuck.
But that's exactly why women get taken care of and men don't. And the good men don't get taken care of, for the sins of the bad men.
Wow that’s a tough question. There are pros and cons to both genders. I’ll break it down as such.
Women vs. Men Usually women are praised for showing sadness Ex. Relationships. Men are praised for showing anger Ex. Sports. This is neutral. However I’d say what is bad is the reverse is not praised. In relationships I’d say women are the chasers after intimacy and men are the chasers pre intimacy. This creates challenges for both. Men are expected to make the money and women are expected to make a house a home. Both are usually challenging. As a mom you’re expected to love unconditionally before yourself and as a father you’re expected to be a leader at the detriment of yourself. Biologically, women do have it harder. Childbirth and menstrual cycles plus the hormones that come with this. Childbirth does also lead to a lot of fatalities. For men it is also tough as they deal with these challenges and support the women in their lives through this. Thus being quite sacrificial. There’s a higher rate of successful suicides among men mostly due to the fact they chose fool proof options. Like hanging and guns. Women chose options far less fatal like over dose and getting black out drunk. I don’t think this means men suffer more than women or women suffer more than men. I feel like men suffer in many ways and so do women. Especially people with mental illness or a physical disability. I know in women these tend to be more easily hidden due to an expectation of composure among women. I think that burden is placed even heavier on men. But they tend to be more aggressive and women more agreeable mostly due to hormones. So there is pressure on both to fit an image of perfection. Maybe some of this pressure is placed on oneself due to an individuals upbringing. I think society has some good to it but what is most important is you take care of you and the people you care about and maintain balance.
If you’re an unhealthy or ugly man of bad genetics. You get no sex and no partner. You’re gonna need surgery or the gym.

If you’re an unhealthy or ugly woman of bad genetics. You’ll get short-term sex for sure. But you will be used and discarded. You’ll end up a single mother. Or you’ll end up in a Abusive Relationship. The fix would be the gym or surgery.

Women are a bad gender though i am not saying all women but many women are competitive and jealous and if you are in a female group (colleagues etc) they can be quite cruel to you. I don't know why.

Men sometimes set unrealistic standards for themselves. Expect to be productive and cool all the time... All genders suffer.

But i do believe that with capitalisim nowadays its not about being a man or a woman that decides how happy u will be but ur bank account. Women have affirmative action and gender quotas. Shelters everywhere. Mental health is tailored to them.
Military and police entyr standards are lower, lower prison sentences and in some countries, laws that specificaly for them. scotland has made misogyny a crime. Which include criticizm.
Suicide, homlessnes is significantly lower for women.
Oh and they also have the ability to completely destroy a mans life via legal means with false accusations and get away with it.
And lets not forget that there's currently war going on in Europe. No women will get drafted if it escalates.
I don’t think that question could be answered easily since most of will only experience the perspective of being one sex/gender most our lives. I said something similar somewhere else on here, we’re all going to see things from either a man’s perspective or a woman’s perspective. We can try to see the other point of view but without seeing it from a first person perspective it could easily be skewed.

The struggles in society used to be equally as bad.
Now feminism came along started this gender warfare and has successfully convinced society that women can do no wrong and men not only do everything wrong but would hurt women if they had the chance.
It is the same threat narrative that the Jim Crow laws had and they use very typical propaganda used to convince people to go to war (i. e. "These people are a danger to their women") and using it against people within their own society is how genocides start.
Until feminism is finished, no one can really honestly talk about the gender differences because each sex has their own issue but all of the issues will be towards women and it will always be blamed on men.
Men easily and by far. Women are constantly having their egos inflated by simps, being hired for jobs they aren't qualified for because they are women, get shorter sentences for the same crimes as men, get favorable treatment in family courts, and have the option to not work and be taken care of. If you have any doubt as to who has it worse just look at who makes of the vast majority of homeless and suicides. Also, 1 in 3 men are either virgins or haven't had srx in over a year.
I'm gonna say Men but only because because we're on the topic of society. Modern society is way harsher on men. You really see the effects of it when you focus on men that are low status. Look at how the society treats them vs the Women who have the equivalent status. The men will get the harsher views.
Modern society? For all of recorded history men have been forced to defend their tribes/nations/families in war or to provide for them, and often do both by simply being a man it was expected. Now we lose our kids and livelihoods in divorce and family court. We’ve always had it worse if you want to compare both genders by the same standards.
I'm only talking about modern society because I live in it. Its harder to analyze older ones. Especially when it comes to which gender had it worse. I mean come on. It wasn't too long ago when women started getting rights. That is some fucked up shit right there. They should have had rights since the beginning.
And we all know the horrors that happen when one human deems another as less than. So I really prefer to speak on modern day. I just wouldn't feel comfortable saying that men had it harder knowing how many more privilege's came with being a man when the sexes were treated less equally.
At most 20% of citizens (and all citizens were males) would serve in the Roman military, and death rates from war were lower in the past than they are in modern warfare, including all those that died from combat, injuries sustained from combat and disease. For the ancient Roman military for instance it was 5-8%, which means a total of 1-1.6% of all Roman men died in war. Meanwhile, the vast majority of Roman women (and/or adolescent girls) got married and went through childbirth in the same empire and maternal mortality rates were around 2%, so a woman had about the same chances of dying in childbirth as a man did of dying in a war.
^This is just one example but it’s reflective of the general historical trend. Maternal mortality rates were high and women tended to die younger than men until the 1890s, since maternal mortality rates were high consistently while there aren’t always wars, and even the bloodiest war in American history, had an enlistment rate that was under 10% of the total population and roughly 2% of the total population (so roughly 1% of men) died in it. So it’s more accurate to say that maternal mortality rates were higher overall than the rate of men dying in wars, except in certain cases like during the most intensive wars in Ancient Rome, when the death rates were about the same.
@Noether I study ancient war. I don’t know where you are getting your statistics. But I understand face to face combat as I have been in it myself. The medical knowledge was inadequate to cure infections or to reset bones incurred in hand to hand combat. Also the records were insufficient or lost on plebes who died working the fields or whom were slaughtered by the romans themselves in massacres. In gal the people were sometimes nomadic and were hunter gatherers with little farming mych like native Americans. Their conflicts were only recorded by Romans, phoenicians, or arabs. Many died in those battles or hunting. I’ll give you this, its unfair to compare men and women by the same standards as we are sexually dimorphic, we are so different. Its a travesty of the modern era to do such.
@UnicornLobotomy Yes, war is gory and bloody and no one is denying that, but giving birth is also bloody, gory and dangerous, especially before the invention of antibiotics and proper sanitary practices. Issues analogous to those faced by injured soldiers wer faced by women whenever they gave birth, an only a minority of men actually fought in wars. There were always men who were to old, sick, weak or important to fight in wars, and until the invention of professional standing armies soldiers could only fight seasonally and siege warfare didn’t exist because you had to attend to the harvest, the first people to get around this and develop a professional standing army were the Assyrians, and in the ancient world men, women and children were often massacred anyway though some would be kept alive and enslaved, so war didn’t just kill men fighting in them. And a Hunter gatherer tribe likewise would have to spend most of their time obtaining food. Women on the other hand gave birth in all seasons and the vast majority of women have birth throughout history, like I said, and as a result the total numbers of women dying in childbirth were on the whole higher than the number of men dying in war.
@UnicornLobotomy In many cases in ancient times entire cities would be massacred and only the children left alive, any female old enough to have had sex was murdered along with everyone else, and probably raped beforehand.
I mean, it depends on who you’re talking to. There are a lot of men who seem to think that women are morally inferior to men and that it’s good to treat them as social inferiors or even that they shouldn’t have the same legal rights as men and/or believe that rape victims were ‘asking for it’, or that women should stay with men who physically assault or rape them. Others are terrible on the other extreme, like women who think it’s acceptable to attack men outside of self defense situations or consensually (the same situations where a man or woman can hit anyone), or believe that men can’t be raped or they should like it when they are. Then you have decent men and women who don’t hold any of these views.
I want to know why this stupid site insists on putting interracial shit everywhere. Why is there a black woman and a white woman facing each other?
Everybody on here bitches about racism and sexism, so why the fuck are they up in our faces with it? Why are the photos necessary for intellectual discourse?
There is no universal answer for this. It depends on which society. In some regions of the world woman undoubtedly have it worse. In others I think men do. On a positive note I believe our understanding of our respective struggles have improved in recent years. Maybe one day we can get over all the decisive mindsets and arguments and help make society easier on everyone.
I wanna say in most societies women have it way worse then you’d even realize. Like there’s a tradition in one culture where girls get their V’s sowed shut that way her future husband knows that she’s still a virgin and when they get married or whatever he just tears it open. In some societies like here in the US both genders have it pretty rough depending on the circumstances.
Men do because of feminism and the pressure for men to act a certain way and take on certain responsibilities. Feminism has removed responsibilities for women and has caused a lot of discrimination.
Men. 100 years ago it was more equal. Women have always had privileges. Now they have all the privileges they had, plus they get the majority of scholarships, welfare, opportunities for relationships etc. Men have it far worse. POSSIBLY if a man hits 30-40 and builds himself up, I've heard that he might be able to actually enjoy life by that point.

P. s. the rest of the men who dont end up having much are either depressed or commit suicide. 40-50 year old men have the highest suicide rate.
I would say men have it worse, but men tend to be more stoic so most can deal with it. But there isn't much of a support system for the men who can't.
Men are generally treated worse by society than women. Men get blamed for everything. We are considered expendable and less worth.
But physical, being a woman seems pretty terrible. I would still rather deal with the things I listed than deal with periods, being weaker, and the risk of getting pregnant.
