There's extemes on both sides the spectrum. That's not the norm of what I experienced of people that supported Trump, not in prior years. Most people, are reasonable. There's plenty videos that show it and can go meet them for yourself, but you won't see them without searching as your news feed won't provide them. The systems filter what you already watch, so you get more of it.

But yes, there are going to be people hateful of what they see as the problem. the more crime they experience, the more they lose and see the country going a way they don't like, they will find blame. Hate comes from frustration and anger... coming from sadness and despair.
In general... most people, are reasonable and decent and treat others as such. There's plenty of bad behavior on both sides. Are people upset about crime going on... yes. Are people upset about unfairness, yes. etc etc..
