You have Republicans looking for an excuse to impeach Biden, you have the independent judiciary bringing Trump to justice for oh so many crimes. They're not particularly hidden crimes, either, everybody saw Jan 6, but Republican senators were too scared to vote to convict, they were terrorised. Everybody has seen the stolen documents that were hidden from the government and heard Trump showing military plans to random sycophants. Everybody knows that Mar-a-Lago is not the most expensive property in the United States, definitely not worth a billion dollars. Everybody's heard Trump ask for Raffensperger to "find" more votes for him, when his job was simply to count the votes there were, and anyone paying attention knows about the groups of people who fraudulently pretended to be the valid electoral college voters for states that Trump lost.

No, these things matter. There are laws. They should be enforced. Equally.

Hunter has a very good chance of getting off on the gun charge because he can argue that political pressure was brought to bear on the prosecutor to indict him on something that is almost never prosecuted.

Trump, if he was almost anyone or anything else, would have been locked up for years for holding any one of the hundreds of documents he stole and hid.
