I was born biologically a female and I still think I am a female. I am normal. I am not mentally ill.
Good question, but what's yours?
You need to give to get.
I think the way one expresses, conducts, and carries oneself is their identity. So, all those expressions show who you truly are. Of course, as human beings, when we play sports, it reflects our identification as athletes; if someone sings, they are recognized as a singer, which becomes their identification mark. If someone engages in theft, it reveals their criminal identity, and if someone is religious and expresses themselves devoutly, that's their identification mark as a religious person. An individual's identification marks can be numerous, such as religious, singer, athlete, hypocrite, kind, flirty, liar, student, pretender, teacher, and more. However, people often choose to identify themselves based on circumstances that suit them in the moment.
As for me, I strive to express myself as a Muslim while simultaneously being a student, teacher, and more.
These are my philosophical thoughts on the topic, please feel free to correct me, I would appreciate that. Thank you
Your answer is very good!
I'm not sure what to add. I don't think there's anything to "correct".
The things that spring to mind when I think of the word 'identity' are quite pedestrian - how one identifies themselves, the biometrics etc. which we in society use to identify us (and governments to track us), and then, perhaps, something about reputation.
I have never answered a "Who are you?" q. I think that's pretty much impossible, the possibilities limitless. I can barely even choose Halloween costumes.
It's interesting how some people lean toward accomplishments to identify themselves, while others use more standard titles, isn't it? The latter is more humble.
Overall, I prefer your interpretation.
A friend once said, "I am just a man who..." and listed two items that he does frequently, the ones that occupy his time most, I guess it could be said. He was trying to downplay my appreciation for him, temper it, maybe. I replied, "Those are what you do, not who you are." And I guess that is what I find most interesting, not titles, shortcuts, biometrics, etc., but traits of a person's personality and character that take time to uncover. Values, principles by which they live and conduct themselves. Subtleties, nuances, and even all the inherent contradictions we have as complex creatures, beings. Though I think it's best for others to decide those, as they see fit, not for us to. But maybe that's just me, getting boggled by possibilities. As you aptly said, they are often chosen in the moment. Another time, other words will be chosen. Maybe they're all true, but some are more at the forefront at any given time. It's not easy to distill people down. Well, some do it to others quickly, harshly (in an us vs. them mentality that is especially prevalent nowadays), while believing they are more nuanced, themselves.

Cause religion is a cult. You’ll be excommunicated, if you do any of this things. And their always asking for money.
Labeling all religions as "cults" is an oversimplification and generalization. Religions encompass a wide range of beliefs, practices, and traditions, and not all of them involve excommunication or the constant demand for money.
To live in a society, you need to follow certain rules and regulations, even if you don't follow any religion, still you are bound to follow country laws, you can't do whatever you want, and if you don't follow those rules and regulations, you will be excommunicated and will be behind the bar.
Different religions have different doctrines, practices, and beliefs. Some may have strict rules and consequences for members, while others may not. It's important to recognize the diversity within religious traditions.
Rather than assuming that religions always ask for money, it's essential to understand the motives and purposes behind religious practices, including the collection of donations or tithes, which often support religious institutions and charitable activities.
And if they are really looting you or scamming you, you maybe in wrong religion, You need to taste other grapes, before passing every grapes are sour.
If you are open minded, I would ask you to read and understand the Quran, if you have any questions or misconceptions about islam or the muslims, you can ask in the local Mosque or Muslims in your area, or you can ask me as well.
