They basically said everyone sterotypes and it can't be helped. It's basic pattern recognition. Everyone advises exercise good judgement until it's applied to them.

stereotypes are called "stereotypes" for a reason. Usually, certain group of people demonstrate specific behavioural pattern/s over time, and that is what stereotypes are made up of, so it would be pointless to call them completely wrong.

Being racist implies that someone views someone as innately less than simply because of their race. Recognizing cultural or behavioral patterns is something completely different. Though, ofc, they can overlap. I'm sure racist people love highlighting stereotypes. Example:
