Depends on where you live. If you live in L. A. you're making less than people sleeping in their car. If you live in Ohio you can buy a house after two years, maybe three. At 23 I made 85 but I lived in a more expensive part of the south. You can't compare yourself to what people online in different areas make. What do most 23 year olds make where YOU live? That's what you ought to be asking. That data will be easily accessible through google.

Well there's a lot of factors that would make up if it is. For example what do you do, what's the average salary for your job class in your area, what region do you live in ( for cost of living) and what opportunities are there for advancement in wage and position. But if you're paying your bills, and working towards more money in the future in your career, it's a start. If you're not already saving for retirement I would highly recommend it.

What's the price of living where you are? That really determines it. A salary like that in Hawaii or California (the two states with the highest cost of living) will carry you a lot less than it will in Mississippi or Alabama (the cheapest in cost of living). So look up the cost of living in your state (and, if you're really ambitious, the part of your state), to find out.
