Our debt to GDP is around 120 percent which is high but it's actually not insurmountable. After World War II are debt to GDP was like 250 percent and China's debt to GDP is like 300 percent now and yet they somehow keep going. I would say it is entirely possible to fix the US debt problem. The only real issue is our population isn't really about to boom like it was post WW2 so its going to be much harder.
