+1 yI don't know, that's a tough call. On the one hand, America's definitely not what it used to be. A lotta people are really struggling with high costs of living, student loans, and it seems harder than ever to get ahead.
But at the same time, just cuz the roads are bumpy doesn't mean you gotta ditch the journey, you know? For every bad story you hear, I bet there's still folks out there grinding and seeing success. That American dream started with immigrants being willing to bust their ass for a shot.
And think about it - if everyone starts saying it's impossible, then it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. But if you go in confident that you can beat the odds, your attitude alone will give you an advantage. People respond to optimism and hustle.
Why don't you come check it out for yourself, see how it feels? If you work hard in school and really commit to your goals, who says it can't still become your reality, even if it's tougher than before? Nothing worth doing is ever easy, right? Stay determined and I know you'll surprise em.
The future's yours to decide. Don't let doubters take your power. You got this!00 Reply

+1 yI volunteer teaching English to people from all over the world. The last few classes had people from China, India, Japan, Turkey, Nicaragua, Mexico and Columbia - and probably some that I forgot.
I think every one of them would say the "American Dream" is not over.
It's a big step moving to another country, especially when they don't know the language. I am damn proud of these people who are willing to take that chance. I have a tremendous amount of faith and respect for these people.
If you want to go to America and study at university, and build a future, then don't believe all the people who say you can't do it.

When the idea was conceptualized, the culture put heavy emphasis on the nuclear family and private property. The US federal government and its outside influences are broadly against both of these things, and are actively making them harder. While I wouldn't bet that it happens, the trend could be reversed pretty easily, but that's not the plan. The future of the average US citizen is a broad, permanent renter-class if it stays the current course.

+1 yNot at all. True, the empire's crumbling, and while that can be delayed, it probably won't be stopped outright. But it'll be a crumbling like that of the English empire, rather than the Mongolian. It's gotten harder, yes, and will get worse, but given that that's going to hit the rest of the world just the same...

1913? What was supposed to end the American dream back then?
- +1 y
On that day, a bunch of bankers got together for a secret meeting about making our money the fiat currency that it now is. They decided to do it at Christmas because anyone opposing it would be home celebrating the holiday so, they could unanimously pass the vote.

Even with not ignoring your obligatory conspiracy nonsense, nothing of this decision has anything to with the possibility of living the "American Dream". Which was very much possible, because the United States came out of World War 2 with a clear head start, from the 1950s to the 1990s.

Conspiracy? These are facts! What YOU spew is conspiracy!!
And, here, in the `20's, Joe has fucked it all up again! - +1 y
You have no clue of the facts: The Federal Reserve Act was a heavy piece of legislation that took the better part of a year to discuss, draft and sign. There were no "bunch of bankers in a secret meeting"!

Hasn't Trump been caught red handed committing felonies? Like that was something that happened right? Or are all the trump supporters gonna ignore that? Yeah Joe Biden isn't doing too well but come on, Trump? Really? The guy is breaking law after law and nothing is happening to him, send his ass to prison already.
- +1 y
@Unknown52749 No, but Joe has!
- +1 y
I don't follow politics at all because it's toxic but the few times I've turned on the news I'm seeing trump in court for keeping classified documents. I think he was charged with what like 40 felonies?
I have no clue if Joe Biden broke any laws or committed felonies. People drink gasoline and eat laundry soap so I wouldn't be surprised if he had broken laws.
But I know trump has so I'm just curious as to why people are willing to ignore the fact that he's committing felonies. It just seems very idiotic and careless of trump supporters.
Trump is breaking laws so he should be put in prison and definitely shouldn't be allowed to run for president.
u +1 y@Unknown52749 I disagree
- +1 y
But why?
- +1 y
If he's committing felonies shouldn't he be put in prison?
u +1 y@Unknown52749 where is the proof
- +1 y
Well I don't have proof lying around on my bedside table lol. It's like on all news networks even fox news I think. His house was raided with a warrant and they found stacks and stacks of classified documents and they had a voice recording of trump telling people he took these classified documents.
I mean he confessed on recording lol, I'm sure this is public records and can probably be found using google.
I have a follow up question, what's your evidence that he didn't commit multiple felonies and confessed to them on recording?
u +1 y@Unknown52749 he would have to be tried in court, and they would have to be a indisputable evidence. I can’t guarantee everything exactly. I’m not even involved, but the man deserves a day in court.
- +1 y
I'm pretty sure he's been in court for this and it's still going on. Finding the documents in his house and with a recording of himself confessing. There is already indisputable evidence. If he was anyone other than Trump they would've been buried so far in prison they'd become a distant memory.
u +1 y@Unknown52749 give that man a chance it hasn’t even been resolved and it’s a long ways off still don’t pass judgment on him and want to send him to prison
- +1 y
Yeah I mean innocent until proven guilty but man he's been caught red handed, knife in his hand, outside the robbed bank with a money bag, etc. my point is that this is happening but people are like "get Joe Biden out, put Trump in!" I'm just like "Why?" "He's being investigated for committing felonies." Don't ignore the red flag guys.
- +1 y
@Unknown52749 You don't know anything about Trump. All you know is what the bullshit media wants you to believe. That's also why you haven't heard anything about and of Joey's crimes! Now, had you been watching the REAL news!!!
- +1 y
@Unknown52749 The documents he has were taken by him WHILE he was President!! Therefore, he's ALLOWED to have them!! Joey, on the other hand, has stashes of similar documents all over the countryside, including in a couple cardboard boxes in his garage!! AND in a place where the Chinese have easy access!! Joey took them BEFORE he was allowed to be president!! He's also got stolen documents from when he was a senator a few decades ago! You don't see HIM in jail, or even in court over it, do you? At least Trump had his stuff locked in a safe with a guard watching over it!! ANYBODY can access the docs Joey has!!
- +1 y
@Unknown52749 What about all the red flags you're ignoring? You want to crucify Trump for shit he's never done but you'll give Joey a pass for the same shit Trump is accused of? Maybe you should hear ALL the FACTS (instead of the lies) before you pass judgement!
- +1 y
I'm not ignoring bidens "crimes" I just haven't seen any on the news for me to talk about. The only thing I've seen him do is fall a bunch and turn into a roomba on stage. The thing with the documents is even if he took them when he was president he's not supposed to have them still. Him being president doesn't give him a free pass to take hundreds of documents and keep them well past his presidency. He still committed felonies by taking, hiding and showing other people the documents. And just to be clear, murder is a felony so just to make clear the degree of crap he's in.
And your saying trump never took the documents but the fbi raided his house and found the documents so he did take them. He admitted to it on a recording, don't know what more evidence you need. When like every news station and article you find says the same thing then either everyone is lying or no one is lying.
Now I'm not giving Biden a free pass, if he took, held and shared classified documents then he should be in prison as well. I don't give a fuck who the person is it just bothers me that people are still rallying behind a person commiting felonies. If they're both doing illegal things then fuck them both lol. Put them both in prison. - +1 y
@Unknown52749 That's because3 the media's been ignoring them but, if you'd watch the real news, you'd have heard all about them for at least the past 3 years.
The President is allowed to take whatever docs he wants but he/she is the ONLY one that's allowed to do it! It's all perfectly legal! And, if they're such top secret docs that nobody else is allowed to see, why did the people that boosted his house lay them out on the floor, take pictures of them and then post them all over the internet? Being President DOES give him the right to take those docs! Being VP or Senator DOESN'T give Biden the right to take them! And he's got truckloads more stuff than what Trump took!!
Trump didn't show ANYBODY those docs, the feds did!! THAT'S against the law!!
Yes, murder IS a felony but Trump didn't kill anybody but the leader of the terrorist group! Hitlery, on the other hand, has killed dozens of people yet, she still walks the streets, free as a bird!!
I'm saying Trump took them LEGALLY! The raid on his house was ILLEGAL!! They had NO right to do that to him!!
Yeah, all the BOGUS "news" articles!! THEY are lying!!
I agree! People should NOT be rallying behind Biden!! He and his entire family are CRIMINALS and they should ALL be in jail, NOT in the White House!! - +1 y
Well they had a warrant to raid his house so that was perfectly legal. I googled photos of the documents they took pictures of and they were all sealed and didn't have any information on them except for the words that tell you it's a classified document. They didn't commit any crime taking those photos because nothing of value was seen in the photos.
I also googled and I saw what you were talking about with Biden having classified documents at his place, not denying that. But it also said that it is required for presidents to hand over classified documents, they are not allowed to keep them so both Trump and Biden committed felonies. While trump was president he was able to take them (I think) but he has to return them when his presidency ended. He didn't so he committed a felony per document.
The recording that has him admitting to taking them also has him showing someone said documents.
Don't know who hitlery is, wasn't talking about whoever that is.
Wasn't saying trump killed anyone, I was saying murder and taking, keeping and sharing classified documents fall under the felony umbrella.
But yeah in conclusion they both committed felonies so they both should be prosecuted, should be no argument against that.
- +1 y
@Unknown52749 He took them WHEN he left the White House because he is ALLOWED TO! No crime was committed!
You've never heard of Hilary Clinton?
You said there was a murder while talking about Trump!
Trump didn't commit ANY crimes!! It's all made-up bullshit!! - +1 y
No it's literally illegal for him to take the documents when he leaves office. I Googled for like 2 seconds and found this, Presidential records act.
I never said there was a murder, I was saying
murder = felony
Keeping classified documents = felony.
That's what I was saying. The crime he committed is serious and he shouldn't get away with it.
You said hitlery so I thought you were talking about hilter, Hillary had nothing to do with what we were talking about so don't know why you're bringing her up.
Him taking documents isn't "made up bullshit". He admitted to it, he basically confessed on tape. - +1 y
@Unknown52749 I just heard from a lawyer who says, as President, he can declassify any docs he wants and take them home!! Joe CAN'T because he was never president when he took all that stuff!
You've never heard of the classified docs Hitlery sent via e-mail?
I never said he didn't take any, I said what he took was not a crime! - +1 y
That's true I think that the president can declassify documents but trump admitted on tape that he didn't declassify the documents. He admitted to taking and keeping the documents without declassifying them first.
