Be careful..
12.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. He is correct. Look at what the liberals are doing to the cops. They are taking away immunity in many Democrat run cities. If a cop makes a mistake or arrests a minority and they resist arrest and if he has to physically subdue the scum bag and some bleeding heart in the crowd takes a video and the cop gets fired, loses his pension and might do jail time. Ad a result cops cannot really do their jobs because they could be penalized for it. The consequences for doing this to the president are a million times more consequential. Instead of an armed robber getting away we could be in World War 3 because a president was hesitant to act because he could be imprisoned.

If you're going to prosecute presidents, GWB and Obama would be hung for war crimes.

No the whole insurrection was a Fed operation. Protesters were literally let go because they were found to have been entrapped by FBI agents who were giving them guns, ammo and encouraging them to commit violence.
It's the same thing the racist government did against the blacks and how they would try to sabotage their protests. - 3 mo
@gorydetails Iranian general.
- 3 mo
@Juxtapose Oh, do, please give us a name or two of these poor entrapped "protesters" that were "let go"!
You know a dozen or so people have been convicted of seditious conspiracy and sentenced to decades for Jan 6?

@gorydetails No, I was asking for the people who were charged and let go because they were "entrapped". Their names will be public record.
Be careful! Discussing whether the murder of "an Iranian general [is] the same as Iraq and Libya" is getting into the realms of nuance, and you don't do that. Especially when we're discussing whether some crimes by presidents should be punished.
Trump wants immunity for ANY crime he committed while (not even as) president. That's wrong. - 3 mo
- 3 mo
I'm not going to look through all my searches to find it. A few protesters were thought to be entrapped.. by a jury so they were like go.
Yeah those sentences for decades is Banana Republic levels of retardation that I am frankly not going to entertain as in any way legitimate. Maybe a few of them were actually want to be revolutionaries but I doubt more than a small handful. And that small handful was armed by feds.
Bus loads of feds were on location and the FBI won't even deny that they had feds on scene. - 3 mo
You can have a look on here. Most of the dismissed cases were because the accused was dead, leaving about 5 that might fit your claim, but don't.

Trump is arguing in court, today, that the president should be allowed to commit any crime imaginable while in office and not be prosecuted. (At least not unless he's been impeached and convicted in the Senate first.)
Trump is the only US president ever to have been indicted because he's the only US president to blatently steal and mishandle government documents since it was made illegal and the only president ever to not peacefully accept defeat and hand over power to his rightful successor. That's so far over the line, it's crazy.
And you want Biden to have that right, too, for some reason.
Limited immunity is one thing, unlimited immunity is another.
Do you really not see how incredibly dangerous he is? - 3 mo
@milyjohn only the insane, and the dead, would vote for Biden.

The insurrection that had a police escort, and was walked inside. Had multiple feds trying to get people to be violent.
The insurrection that Trump literally said "go home" "be peaceful"
My guy, the tweets are still up, and the videos were released, there was no insurrection.
He hasn't been convicted of that, you're just making an unfounded accusation.
We have something in this country called 'innocent until proven guilty', which you seem to have backwards. - 3 mo

If I could send a face palming Pikachu right now, I would...

I assume that's an attempt to justify himself?
"The insurrection that Trump literally said "go home" "be peaceful""
ONLY AFTER IT FAILED!
Trump could have told them they'd had a good run, but today was the end of it. He could have not sent the attackers he knew were armed to the Capitol. He could have not personally sent the tweet blaming Pence in the middle of the attack. He could have told them to stop and go home any time in the hours of the attack.
He didn't. He sat and watched with a smile on his face. - 3 mo
It was literally the day before when he said to be peaceful...
This guy is nuts, which is exactly why I blocked him. Its like arguing with a brick wall to be transparent.
He's just too disingenuous to listen. - 3 mo
@milyjohn
There is no way millions of people drove 4+ hours to vote in very specific counties in only the swing states so that there would be a 300% turn out rate in just those counties.
2020 was too suspicious to be legit.
Millions, yes, but not 81 million. - 3 mo
@Juxtabpose stirring the pot. Lmao

@nonyabeez-wax and they want to say that he received more black votes than Obama, the first black president.
- 3 mo
Yeah, there is no way. I know TONS of people who voted for him for no other reason than his race. Then there was the "if you don't support him you're a racist" narrative that was floating around both of his elections.
There is no way the guy who said "decide if your for me or trump or you're not black"(paraphrased as you need to with most things Joe Biden says)- got more votes than the first black president who was previously the most popular president ever elected in his first term. - 3 mo
I dont use Twitter, but its public. Anyone can "fact check" me.
- 3 mo
Oh look, a link with conveniently out of context tweets, with one that has too many characters. Almost like its a bad source. Try on x next time? The actual tweets?

@milyjohn its all about the narrative.

My bad, I misread one as two for a minute.

Lies. They took down tweets from Jan 6, during or after the attack, not before, and he only mentioned peace a 14:39, a quarter hour after tweeting "Mike Pence didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!", while the VP's security detail were fearing for their lives and preparing to use lethal force.

3.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. What Trump wants is absolute immunity even for crimes against the country.
His lawyer said that a president should be allowed to order the killing of a political rival and not be prosecuted unless he's impeached and convicted in the senate.
016 Reply- 3 mo
He is allowed to question the results of an election and is actually his duty to question the election if it is shoddy.
In the USA you do not need an ID to vote and harvesting ballots and mail-in ballots are very fraudulent. France doesn't even allow that to happen in their country because it sucks so bad. - 3 mo
But yeah, awfully convenient how you ignored George Walker Bush but go after Trump when GWB is a bona fide war criminal who got off scot-free.
Do you have any idea the chaos that will happen if presidents are regularly prosecuted? All of the presidents that have sat in office since I have been alive could be prosecuted for something.
There's a good reason why presidents have immunity. - 3 mo
If you're driving a car that looks like mine, I don't have the right to take it off you by force. Especially not if I've been told many times by people around me that it's safe at home in my garage.
Trump lied and cheated and organised an attempted coup, and you think that's just fine because you believe the lies he told you. It's pathetic. So is the Republican leadership for not standing up for democracy.
But this question is about whether presidents can break whatever laws they like without consequences. Trump and his supporters say yes, everyone else says no, a president is not a king.
As usual you leap to the fallacy of the excluded middle: If a president is allowed to get away with one crime he must be allowed to get away with all crimes.
Bullshit. Nobody cares about someone driving a couple of miles an hour over the speed limit on an empty road, everyone cares about people driving 100 outside a school.
You forgot the alleged murderer that Trump had gunned down rather than arrested and brought to trial. Personally, I find Bush's torture regime far worse than that or having American jihadists killed, but I guess they do make allowances for presidential actions.
