I remember when I was a kid in middle school and high school I laughed in history class when my teachers would play interviews of WWII veterans.
In retrospect, I joined the Marine corps. And see these men for what they where. Heroes, patriots. A dying breed in our country. Back then these men where 17-18 or a little older and ran to join the military to serve a cause greater than themselves.
And these days boys that age aren’t anything close to being like these men. I salute and honor these men, this is the cost of freedom and peace. To fight sheer evil and drive it away.
