Personally I don't think Europe is some bastion of abortion rights and I don't think the USA is some draconian hellhole. In the USA there are some states that allow it to go on for too long and some states that have the cutoff time a bit too short. Yes I absolutely agree there is definitely a demand for drugs in this country. Especially since so many jurisdictions have decriminalized recreational drug use. However there isn't a demand for fentanyl specifically. Cartels are using fentanyl to cut their drugs to maximize their profits, and it's killing people. That's what makes it so sinister. Illegitimate asylum looks like someone claiming asylum, crossing the border illegally, failing to show up for your court date, and permanently disappearing. There's plenty to eat in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, and the Dominican Republic.

This "deal" was proposed by the Democratic party. It was a compromise that if more than 5000 illegal crossing happened in a one week time frame then the border would automatically be closed until numbers fell. (Cliff notes version)
Let us not forget who opened the floodgates as soon as they came to power. The Democrats have had 3 years to address the issue. Gov Abbot begged for Biden's help to fix the crisis. Instead, Biden opened us up to a human tidal wave and helped facilitate and invasion of the United States.
