How important is your time?

Time is the most valuable commodity we have, and it cannot be replaced or refunded. When your time is up, it's up. There is no more and there is no way to get more.

This is why when I am asked to do things like taking a survey or reading something I don't care about, I want to be paid for my time - I don't give it away for free.

What do you think?

It depends. I have no problem filling out master's thesis surveys occasionally. I read a lot, so checking out something is not a problem. From such readings, I learned a lot. I also mentor people in my spare time. Write tutorials and I think I will start also record them...

But if someone wants me to help with work or a project, I require them to be fully prepared, know the answers to all questions, and show at least two failed attempts of solving the problem. My work time is valuable and I won't waste it on lazy people

Extremely important. I've actually ended several friendships because the person simply didn't respect my time. Now, it did have to get really bad before I got to that point, but I did get there eventually. It was just flagrant, repeated, blatant disregard for my time; stuff like making me wait around for 2 hours on my day off because somehow getting laid the night before prevented him from making a lunch on time. Except that kind of thing would happen ALL the time with these people.

and people who really need it... my time is all theirs

money, I have more than I could need (KnockingOnWood) and always more to be made... good TIMES with the people I love and enjoy, that's worth living this life

Every moment wasted could be a rather large percentage if you leave this rock unexpectedly. If anyone is aware of that I am. I can make more money. I can't make more time. Only one of those I'm likely to ever run out of.

Very. Which is why my priority I life is to control as much of it as possible. And now I control quite a lot of it. Not worth working shifts for others.
