One of the main qualms Trump fans have with the Democrats/Joe Biden or the ostensible “deep state” is that they allege “election fraud”, “election interference” etc. Yet Trump fans sympathise with Vladimir Putin to the point of siding with him even when it goes against the interest of U. S national security. Pertinently, Putin actually does have political opponents blocked from contesting elections and bumped off.

Politically speaking - what’s a “fan”? When did we start regarding politicians like rock singers. When I hear about people referring about a politicians “fans”, “supporters”, or “their base”, I always wonder what that’s even defined as.


Does a “fan” wear t-shirts and have posters and buy swag? Does a “supporter” actual support their politician with time, labor, and money or is that just a pejorative to indicate their blind allegiance?


Is the “base” a defined, measurable metric, or is it a way to claim a person is part of a brainless legion of followers based on one or two simpleton factors?


I voted for Trump since I was disgusted by the alternative. I am no Trump supporter or fan or whatever and truly hope he does not get the nomination for 2024 but whomever runs against Joe Biden, even if it was my drunk uncle and his old dog as his running mate, they would have my vote before I’d vote Democrat.


Any party that wants to raise my taxes, take my guns, create rampant crime by reducing penalties and cutting the budgets of police, flood illegals into our communities, and turn major metropolitan cities into ghost towns of empty buildings, as well as polluting my kids lives with their ridiculous propaganda lost me.

Not everything is always clear with these things. For example there are numerous and large Russian bot farms that post across social media to sow division. Some of this is things like numerous Russian bots on Twitter saying they are trump supporters and support Putin, this then attracts other real trump supporters who join in, or there is another Russian Bot that plays democrat and becomes the target for real supporters. Unfortunately this works really well and it becomes a game of Among Us. This is all helped by Americans being too political, for your average person in the street they will still get shafted by government no matter which one is in power. Now those real people that support Putin (politics aside) are fairly scary as they live in a democratic country but are happy supporting a dictator who has no qualms about murdering anyone at any time, including having them thrown from windows etc. I fully believe that in the next 5-10 years there will be a major global war, triggered by Putin or potentially by his death.

Personally I find no issue with this. Putin may be a "tyrant" but his country does not have half of the immoral and low ethics problems of most Europeans & Westerners.

I mean some areas of the USA they're 3rd world shitholes even without immigrants to blame due to the welfare & drug abuse and local contribute-no-value-to-society losers.

Trump fans sympathize with history and political trends. Had Trump not had 2020 stolen fraudulently, there would be no Ukraine war. Part of it was having NATO not threatening Russia's borders. We know that Vlad is a bad guy but he IS a patriot for his country. A critical mistake we made is not having befriended Russia after the Cold War ended. Instead, Democrats sustained Russia as a straw man enemy while we sucked up to China. Sad.

You would be very wrong to assume the U. S has no stake in that war. There are multifaceted geopolitical considerations to take. It is not as simple as giving Ukraine money or not to help them stave off Russian take over. Such a result would have far reaching consequences which will impact the United States, the geopolitical stability of Europe including NATO allies of the US as well as providing Russia with a platform to essentially hold the US to ransom over various resources and trade which will end up costing the US trillions of $ in economic losses. This is a much more serious issue than you realise.

Yes, all that might be true. I think it would be better to spend the money closing our borders, fixing the military and developing our infrastructure. The war in Ukraine cannot be won unless we sent troops over there since the Ukrainian Army has been decimated. It would be better to increase our own security that to hav American lives lost.
