I've heard the same thing from other sources. Trump negotiated a loan from a bank. Both agreed on the terms. It was a business negotiation and everyone was happy with the agreement. How that can be considered a crime is beyond comprehension.

And they are not going after other real estate developers for doing the same thing. The fact that they are only going after Trump for this non-crime shows that it's just a witch hunt. The Democrats are using any possible means to destroy him, all at taxpayer's expense.

It was a blatant political witchhunt, so yeah he is right that nothing out of the ordinary happened and now by proxy the other real-estate developers no longer feel comfortable in New York. Obviously it will be overturned on appeal, but he may have already lost the building by then so the damage will be hard to recover.

The banks send appraisers. The appraiser agreed. I can't say my house is worth a billion bucks and the bank just gives it to me. That's not how any of this works, but if it's Trump then it's a crime? This is stupid. There was a negotiation. Both sides said go with it.

My favorite was when the Governor of NY had to reassure real estate developers and buyers that Trump was a “special case” and that the state wouldn’t go after them also—so please, do business in NY! Don’t take your money elsewhere! This is all just for Trump and Trump alone. 🙄
