Trending & News May all homophobes feel paranoid and uncomfortable this month!
I started my Pride hitting up a drag show after seeing each member of my queer polycule. Then slept with my girlfriend for a perfect way to start my 2024 Pride.
Haha! Sounds like a party 🎉
This is the only pride parade flag I need.
I don’t think anyone oppresses the military but I see your point
I'm saying the American flag, not some Rainbow Brite flag.
Weird flex but okay 👍
So you admit gayness is abnormal to you. Otherwise you would have consider it normal.
I wish a unhapoy month to those who chanted they are comming for our kids.
You’ve read my question. You provided feedback. Have the say that you deserve 👋🏻
Normal people don't feel the need to make their sex lives everybody's business.
I see straight people being in my face about their romance all the time. Public display of affection has always been a thing. In movies, songs, and especially Valentine’s Day.
Because being straight is much more common, so you see it more often.
I agree with that. That also means that straight people actually do make their sex lives everyone’s business.
Everything related to romantic affection is more common as straight, that's why you see it often in media. Now, I think it's less "in your face" because it's not forced most of the time. In recent years there are more and more lgbt relationships on screen, as part of inclusion, but it feels forced. By that I mean that the lgbt character is all around that, rather than the plot.
As for what you say on making sex lives everyone's business, I disagree. Most couples keep it to their own in private. You mainly see public affection as you said as holding hands and simple kisses. Not unusual.
And straight people don’t have to as it’s normal and compliant with society to be straight. There’s no reason to hide it.
Whereas when someone says they are gay their friends, family, job, and school disown them; They have every reason to hide it. This month is dedicated for them to NOT HID themselves as they normally would not only to express themselves but to SHOW all straight people that they simply exist.
It’s laughable because straight people complain about gay people being in their face about it meanwhile straight people have done the EXACT SAME thing to gay people their entire lives. 😆 in fact straight people have made it against the law for gay people to marry and okay to discriminate gays in the government system.
So really I hope they get in all straight people’s faces about who they are; they aren’t having sex in front of you 😆 but they should express themselves who they truly are because they are oppressed when they do so.
If straight people would stop forcing them to comply with being straight they simply wouldn’t need to be in their face about it. The faster straight people realize this the faster they will stop making this such a big deal.
Straight people get so bothered when they taste their own medicine 😆
Ok, now you bring a different topic. I agree with the part that sometimes gay people are not in a good place in society, depends on the country and environment. But, the world is in progress to make it better for gays. Now in most western countries it's not a taboo being gay and even have affections in public like a straight couple. Do you, no one cares. The only thing that bothers the society in terms of lgbt, are the radical voices, and those are not the majority, but those are the loud ones. As for the pride month, it's too much in my opinion. If you want to blend in society, you need to be part of it, instead of saying I'm special.
They have 11 other months to ‘blend in’. They’ve been doing that their entire lives meanwhile straight people make everyone acknowledge their presence, their sexual partners, and their feelings everyday.
In fact straight people disown gay people when they just tell them that they’re gay. They lose their family, friends, etc. instead of ‘blending in’ gay people get a month to FINALLY be in your face about it and do it to be proud of themselves.
It’s not about YOU being comfortable it’s about them being comfortable with themselves 😊
Straight people always want people who are different to shut up and just blend in with everyone else. They hate it when people are different.
Meanwhile when a straight person gets married they are throwing big parties about their love for their partner or proposing to their partner in front of big audiences, etc. but when a gay person just expresses love for themselves is when straight people wanna be like “Ugh no one cares! Just blend in with everybody! Not a big deal!”
The irony in that lol
You are talking about straight people like they all do that, like they by majority disown gays and make them shut up. You probably hear the radical thoughts of the straight, like we hear the radical thoughts of the lgbt, but I know it's not the majority.
in my opinion pride month won't get many gays to feel comfortable, many gays told me that themselves. It's an exaggeration of sexuality in parades, and it's existence is for them to feel special, than how can you blend in if you want to be special?
Really the majority doesn't care in western countries if the couple holding hands is straight or gay, if the employee is straight or gay and such... In most of the western countries there are the same rights and you can do everything a straight couple do in public.
Evidently not when suicide rates of the LGBTQ+ community is so high. In fact there are states that support discrimination for the LGBTQ+ community. So no, they aren’t provided the same opportunities and rights as straight cis U. S. citizens like you claim and there are studies and research that prove this.

Also the overturn of Roe vs Wade opens the door for overturning the right of same sex marriage. Obviously something that straight people will never ever worry about, called privilege.

Firstly, I said western world in majority, I didn't say specifically USA. And even in the USA, there is progress now in favor for lgbt. Many states legalize a lot about it.
Secondly, I need more info about Roe vs Wade, I'm not from the states, and saw it's about abortion. Genuinely asking what does it mean for lgbt?
I honestly can’t speak for the majority of the western world. My question posted is based in the U. S. I should’ve definitely clarified that.
Alright, let's go by USA standard. So why pride is a month and memorial for fallen soldiers and victims is a day? Isn't a month an exaggeration?
I think countries like in the arab middle east would benefit pride acknowledgement more than in the USA. They are the ones who are being prosecuted and killed systemically. They lack the rights.
@more_than_a_guy Romantic affection, love, and sex in a marriage relationship is God ordained. Homosexual sex is not.
