Is racism common in Germany?

I know someone who went to Germany for travel and said many there are prejudiced towards non-Germans etc... True?

I would not say they are prejudiced against all non Germans. We go there fairly often and have for years, never ever had any issues with any racism. This is not the case with immigrants that are not taking on German values etc. There is going to be a huge push back against illegals through out Europe, this is one of reasons the numbers are up in right of centre parties.
Now all countries are prejudiced against non citizens to a certain degree, language is a key example, both spoken and written,

Yes and no. The average person is not at all racists. But the new right wing extremists we have are 100% racists. They are loud and looking at the last election around 16%. WAY too many, I mean 1% would be too much, but 16% is fucking huge. Outside of that there isn't much racism going on. The "good thing", everyone hates them, because they are an embarrassment for germany.

Some can be who are still apart of the Nazi regime beliefs, but they are far and few in-between. Like a little gang of thugs. It's the other countries around Germany who I wouldn't say are racist against Germans, they just grew up in areas with survivors who told stories, who passed down stories. In modern day, most people understand the Federal Republic of Germany is not Nazi. And Germans are friends now with many people from many nations.

Quite a few countries in Europe are fairly racist. Germans can be but not as much as Italy, Greece, Russia and, most of the former Yugoslavian countries.

Yes and pick fights with the riot police, yell "f*****" every time an opposing player has the ball, etc. etc. Again: Soccer games behaviors are its own category and not representative of everyday life.

Tbh I like soccer but lots of soccer fans around the world are rude and wild.

Mexican fans don't usually use racial slurs but they call the players from the opposing team "puto"
