We're having a heat wave where I live in California. It's up to 113 degrees today.

Summer never bothered me when I was young. Of course, I lived near the Pacific ocean and spent much of my time at the beach.

But where I live now, summers are hot and dry. No rain at all.
Winters are too cold.
They are the seasons when we use the most energy either on cooling or warming the house.
I don't look forward to either summer or winter.

Spring and fall are my favorite seasons. The weather is perfect. It's fun to go outside and do things.

So right now I am looking forward to fall with cooler weather and intermittent rains.
