Yes, it's what any president would do, but it should be appreciated.
Lots of crazy talk on here.
1. Trump got more secret service protection, it wasn't asked for and refused.
2. The border is not "open" (and Republicans, following Trump's orders, voted down bipartisan legislation to close it further and expel failed applicants quicker).
3. Democrats have consistently decried violence. Trump mocked Paul Pelosi, and just today claimed Jan 6 was a hoax.

4. Federal search warrants allow agents to respond with force when attacked. Trump wasn't even in the same state when Mar a Lago was searched. "The FBI followed standard protocol in this search as we do for all search warrants, which includes a standard policy statement limiting the use of deadly force. No one ordered additional steps to be taken and there was no departure from the norm in this matter."
5. Biden did not "order the hit", and suggesting it is simply justifying someone trying to kill him, increasing the chance of violence.
6. Politicians make speeches using teleprompters. They choose what they're going to say in advance. That's how it works. If you want to see Biden talk normally, see how he talked to the AFI-CIO.
Here's what the far right mean when they say "unity" (these are some who are dumb enough to say the quiet parts out loud, on Real America's Voice):

I'm glad that he's calling out political violence, politicians and really anyone who has a large audience should understand that their words matter, sadly unstable people can get motivated by violent rhetoric.
Biden forgot to mention that the Trump team asked for more secret service personnel for that rally, and was denied. Biden doesn't want Trump to have any secret service protection.

I've been watching experts talk about this, and one of them was a drone master. That gunmen would have been spotted it two seconds with a drone. They were supposed to have drones, but the head of the Secret Service didn't allow it.
Glenn Beck is having a fancy security system put in at his ranch. (conservative talk radio host) There will be motion sensors all over his property. When any motion is detected, an autonomous drone takes off and heads to that location. The drone sends video back to Glenn in his house. He can see it on the big screen, and decide what to do. There is no way the secret service fucked up this badly, unless they were told to.

It was purely a political move. Biden hates Trump. Harris hates Trump. Obama hates Trump. The Clintons hate Trump. Pelosi hates Trump. But they all put out the exact same political violence message, created by the party.
So what they're really saying is, "we want you to think we're supporting Trump right now so you will think good things about us, but really what we're saying is we don't want violence used against us, and the violence is all caused by Trump anyway."

The bombs confuse me, did he really think he'd make it off the roof? Maybe they were on a timer. Regardless, no fly zones are the law, is there a law against civilians carrying firearms around ex-presidents? Maybe he broke the law the moment he aimed it, not just when he pulled the trigger, but that's a really small time window for a counter-sniper to stop him.
Yes, he was a felon ;) but law enforcement had no way of knowing that. Apparently they'd already seen him acting suspiciously outside the mags and told each other to keep an eye open. Frankly, I think a Secret Service sniper would have been justified in taking the shot before he fired. They would probably not have been prosecuted, and even if they had been, for form's sake, immediately pardoned by Biden.
It would have been amazing watching you guy's heads spin, trying to reconcile someone being shot before committing a visible crime while exercising his God-given right to do anything he wanted with a deadly weapon with the fact that he was probably about to shoot your hero.

The call out of political violence has honestly been said long before now really ever since January 6th, 2021 and long before then as well. But some people choose to listen more to the people that are okay with political violence. It's not like he's the first one to use a gun/target analogy either. Trump said in a speech about Hillary, “If she gets to pick her judges,” Trump said, “nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is". Lets my forget Sarah Palin put a map with crosshairs on 20 democrats and districts during the November 2010 election cycle. Countless other politicians have used gun and target analogies in their rhetoric against the other side.
I don't think any of those people wanted gun violence to actually happen in those situations but this is what is meant by toning down the rhetoric, because their words become dog whistles to unstable people.
