Did the democrats just win the election?

As you no doubt know (if you pay attention to U. S. politics) Joe Biden is no longer the democrat's nominee. Most likely it will be Kamala Harris. The entire message of the GOP was that Trump is in better physical shape and stronger than Biden. That the Trump-Vance ticket is presenting a new and younger leadership. With Harris as the new opponent of Trump, his entire campaign has to be reworked. Was this possibly the best case scenario for the democrats to have their presumptive nominee to drop out right after the GOP convention where the GOP has uninterrupted airtime?

First I want to state that I am not-a-US-citizen. As a not-US-cit I don't care to comment on US politics. Not my business frankly. If an issue is however, trans-western I do feel entitled to comment from that perspective.

In Westminster systems because the Prime Minister is not even indirectly elected we more frequently see what you have just seen more often. In practice though, we do elect the Prime Minister because a leader of a party catches the voters mood. Problems start when the Prime Minister goes down in the polls badly.

His party sees they are in for a drubbing with the dead weight of the current PM. Since the PM is technically elected by Parliament is pretty easy to swap out the old and bring in the new. I went on holiday came back still cursing the PM to be told don't you know Rudd was sacked. Wasn't in the Vietnam news.

Apparatchiks think this is smart and clever. Often they go for a woman with a minority tie-in if possible for a double edge whammy. Apparatchiks expect the voters to be just as excited as they are... but they aren't.

For a start, voters often want to sink the boot in personally and resent the party robbing them of the opportunity to get out the baseball bats. In practice they carry resentments over to the new incumbent augmented with a new one of not getting a say in it.

Voters don't like the party machine doing back room stuff. There is never any respect for that.

It is a huge negative if a party cannot govern itself. The voter asks what makes us think they can run the country then?

It is not a factor in my country but in most you have to get the vote out. Rusted on voters might be disgusted by the party machine and just sit this one out. There are possibly loud cheers from a section but it is the ones that aren't cheering and are silent that you might need to watch.

If you have followed UK politics you will have noticed they went with a woman first after Boris. That didn't work, it was one of the shortest PM tenures ever. Then they went with an ethnic minority PM. The conservatives got badly mauled by the voters and deserved it for not being able to run themselves.

None of this is a comment on US politics. It is purely on how voters react to party machines changing horses in other countries. I just don't think you guys have seen this Westminster style in the past so I thought some comments around that warranted.

As to if US voters might or might not react similarly I will leave with you.

Hard to say at this point, but from recent polling I've seen, Harris is polling worse then Biden, who was losing to Trump. Tho the next debate could sway things a little in Democrats favor.

However, Kamala is smart, not white, and female. All things Trump dislikes. Plus, unlike Hillary, she doesn't have a long political career. Unlike Biden, she doesn't have gaffes. If he debates her, he'll lose, and badly.

I would hope her being a minority didn't matter. And i would also hope her gender didn't matter either but i remember mens comments about Hilary and a lot had more to do with her being a woman than not being a good fit. I see the same being said with kamala. A lot of men dont want a woman in control. Hell even the Barbie movie showed that lmao. And i already know she doesn't support most of what i support. My beliefs are pretty mixed/centrist so a certain 3rd party has always been my go to

The first 28 minutes were thr only unifying part. In a 2 minute clip after that I counted 4 blatant lies. That means if the rest was similar he lied (on average) every 30 seconds. Not that anyone should be surprised, we know by now he's a pathological liar.

1) More illegal immigrants crossing than ever before (fact:numbers are going down). Or maybe that Biden isn't doing anything to stop it, when a bill that Biden was in favor of, was voted down by The House because Trump didn't want it passed while Biden was POTUS.

3) COVID-19 was created by the liberals to lose him the election

I forget the last one. I watched it yesterday morning. I can look the video up later if you care. Although he also said that the illegal immigrants are from prisons or mental institutions.
Honestly it's nothing he hasn't said before.

If you're going to claim someone lied you should use exact quotes not summaries. How do I know that he actually said any of this? What if these were exaggerations? Or maybe taken out of context? Like the bloodbath line; where Trump was talking about the automotive industry and Biden claims he meant a literal bloodbath.

1. There has been record illegal immigration under Biden. Even if it is going down now it is still more than under anyone else. I am sure Trump was talking about the entire time Biden has been in office. Biden's bill wouldn't have fixed anything. It allowed up to 5,000 illegal immigrant crossings a day per area. What would fix the border is if the government would enforce the laws already on the books.

2. There is enough evidence of voter fraud that we don't know for sure if the election was or wasn't stolen. There was and still are more registered voters in Michigan than there are people in Michigan. There was a Heritage Poll that had 10% of respondents admitting to committing voter fraud in the 2020 election.

3. COVID-19 was created by Fauci via the Wuhan laboratory to sell the vaccine. Whether it was an accidental or purposeful release; we will never know for certain. I am of the opinion the Chinese government released it to distract the world from the Hong Kong protests. So he is probably half right; though he could be completely right. Since the Chinese government is on the liberal side of American politics. But I doubt that would be their government's motivation if they did release it.

No, there are a lot of conspiracy theories about everything. Some aren't completely outlandish and actually inspire discourse. As for most of Trump's 64 minutes of ranting and raving, he was mostly repeating what he's been saying ever since he ran for reelection in 2020. It really didn't have any new material or content. That means that while hus slogan is nice, it's weak on substance.
