I disagree with you there... and I am not American and most certainly not a Trump supporter.

I'd say what Trump talks about is 'Globalisation'; over the last 30/ 40 odd years most of our production and mining facilities have been moved abroad. This has caused tremendous deprivation and poverty in the regions where those kinds of industries flourished.

Just look at the 'Rust Belt' in the US

I've seen videos in which American families removed all 'Made in China' items in their house, and there simply wasn't a single item left after that.

Bringing back production, mining, manufacturing, farming, etc to you own country it'll provide Jobs, people will make money and thus the general living standards of people will increase... Revive the American Dream which has been dead since the late 1950s, maybe early 1960s.

This is my understanding of what Trump talks about.

However... Do I believe him? Hell no. Trump is a Populist; he'll say whatever he feels is needed to get elected into the White House and then just does his own thing while lining the pockets of his Capitalist, Greedy Chums. He is not a uniting figure, he is divisive... a Firebrand 'Preacher'. Nothing will change for ordinary Americans... not with him, not with Harris, not with anyone else who might be shoved forward to lead the country.

There really isn't some 'Leftist Conspiracy' involved... this is getting so exhausting (Same goes for the accusations of 'Right-Wing' Conspiracies... it always goes both ways). Trump is being roasted for who he is, that he happens to be a divisive person.

Same as that a Biden is being roasted for being incompetent and incapable to occupy one of the most powerful positions a human being can have on this planet.

I've made it clear that I am not American and thus I don't have any attachment to either side and can look at things through a different 'lens'. Both sides are just as bad as each other, and that really isn't limited to the US only; here in the UK it is the same. The Labour Party a Left-Wing Party? lol, don't make me laugh... Yeah, according to US standards it is... but so is our Conservative Party. US Politics is, in general much further to the right than Politics in Europe are - Even compared to the 'Far-Right' Parties we have.

Trump speaks like a populist. Populism is on the rise on both sides of the political spectrum. Bernie Sanders and all the progressives on the left. Trump, Carlson and JD on the conservative side. “America First” is just a conservative version of that populist rhetoric.
As for your comment. The US has been getting diminishing returns on our expenses for the past 30 years. We provide for the entire West’s defense and can’t even get our supposed allies to meet their own declared obligations, we provide more aid than any country on earth both as a whole and per capita, we provide almost half of all the medical innovation in the world, we’re top 3 for intellectual property worldwide, etc etc. and yet we don’t charge a premium for our products.

Exploring the medical innovation for example: Americans pay more for the medicines we innovate than other western countries that collectively bargain against the American people. We give literal tons of free aid to the third world in medications. We fund all the liability, we fund all the R&D, and yet we get stuck paying a premium. It’s absurd and any decent politician would address this. Maybe adding a tariff to exported medical research and then a tax credit to Americans based off what other countries purchase I don't know.

I supported Trump back in 2016 and we’ve seen how he doesn’t put his country before himself. He charged Secret Service for protecting his family at Trump Tower, charged world leaders $100k per night at Trump Tower before meeting them at The White House, got himself a LIV Golf Tournament deal from Saudis because of his time in office even having the Presidential Seal at the event, January 6th put himself over the politicians’ lives he put in harms way, spent the last year of his presidency working on election winning & spreading misinformation instead of helping with the Pandemic also allowed Civil Unrest to take control instead of helping lower the temperatures in the streets, etc.

He didn’t even give us Infrastructure as he promised time n time again or finishing the wall at end of FIRST term , didn’t keep Afghanistan Pullout to help bring all our troops home before end of FIRST term, promised Veteran benefits, etc. didn’t do anything to help us….

I beg Americans to forge a new path as I did in 2020. Vote Kamala Harris 2024 so, the Republican Party stops playing to the whelms of Trump and starts fighting for the American public like you & me.
