Civilization Could Collapse By 2040, New Research Validates Old MIT Study

A team of scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) had predicted in 1972 that humanity's current civilization is likely to end in the mid-21st century. While the report was heavily criticized at the time, new research reveals that the predictions have been eerily correct so far, forecasting that the collapse of society is on track to happen by 2040.

New research published in the Yale Journal of Industrial Ecology evaluated how things have progressed since the initial report was published in 1972. The new study concluded that the world could indeed witness the collapse of society as early as 2040. However, this will only happen if we continue the business-as-usual approach to overexploitation, overpopulation and resource extraction.

It already is collapsing, since Obama was inaugurated. It will accelerate rapidly if the Democrats steal the election again. A Trump election will delay it but financial and cultural collapse will occur substantially within 30years. It can't be stopped.

The post-Rome recovery is finished. Dark ages and Feudalism are approaching. There will be cultural/technological "monasteries" like those following Rome to preserve things while society reboots.

It's gonna be grim. The world's population will decline by 2/3. There will be massive bloodshed and starvation. Subsistence farming will return. Reconstituted Christianity and remaining Islam will have religious wars.

America will gradually recover to become like the Old West. And it will begin to reboot technology. Europe will descend into an anarchic Islamic hell hole Caliphate. Their wars will be fought by spears and arrows on horses as Western military technology disappears. Islam never innovated and Europe has lost its spirit.

China will decline from demographic suicide and authoritarian rule and become city states. India and Indonesia will de-islamize and become tribal regions again. Africa and South America will go completely dark.

The world will look a lot like those post Armageddon movies. It's gonna be fun.

Technology will be preserved in those "monasteries". Military-aged men will be severely reduced. Some sort of Harems may re-emerge because of war demographics. It was that way in our Old West following the Civil War and Westward Expansion. And (I'm not being funny) prostitution will rise. Prime unspoiled women will be at a premium (be one!). I have been "seeing" this for years. It may be some sort of prophesy. I "feel" it. Or I just may be fukking nutz!

I see it as a sudden crash. It's like how sick people die. Things are normal for a while, there's some minor decline in the person's health, then all of a sudden their health declines rapidly and then they die. The US and by extension the West is at that rapid decline. I don't see a political solution the USA's problems.

We have an open border, a federal government that hates white people, we have demographics that just don't belong here, we have tiny nation in the middle east that has way tooooo much influence on every aspect of our society, we have an economy that's on the verge of impulsion, we have inverted male/female romantic relations, we live in a society that upholds degeneracy as a virtue, and the list goes on. I don't think so. People are good at adaptation. There might be a crisis but society won't collapse. There will be a rebalancing of priorities. Also in a big crisis it's the only time where wealth inequality actually decreases and gives a chance for new people to rise up. We haven't had a event like that since the end of the second world war. But society won't collapse.

Things might get bad for a while like food prices will go up by a lot, there will be public unrest or wars or whatever but things will rebalance again. Everyones quality of life is better when there's peace and order so people will naturally tend towards peace. They will only fight as long as the situation is bad enough that they feel like they don't have much to lose and more to gain by trying to force change. In the end things will even out again.

People are not good at predicting the future in general it's very hard. Usually when it happens it's pure coincidence. You can say a few general things like technology will improve and stuff but it's very hard to make any real predictions.

First, the election of a series of 🦤🦤🦤 "leaders" plus the agenda of radical feminism encourages women to not only delay starting a family, but not at least having children in sufficient numbers to sustain the current population. Of that public debt, if we follow the last link under (**), we see that the public debt held by foreigners is 7.458 T$.

This means that the current debt owed to the American public is about 20.5 T$.
And since the intragovernmental debt is really, ultimately government services, that's not real debt in a way... it's things we are paying for. Think of it like this. Having to spend money on food is not debt; it's an operating expense. So, it's the debt to the public that is the real debt and, as you see, 20.5 / 27.9 = about 0.739. That is, 73.9% of the real debt is money we owe ourselves. So, when it is paid-off, we are paying ourselves and the money remains in the economy and helps keep it running.

The government is not the people. Whether dictators or some other entities, they rule by force and are never willing to give up their power. Whether public or private debts the lenders want to be repaid. I don't own any treasures so the debts will not be paid to me and I certainly don't want to use what money I have to pay lenders. Besides, I don't have $100,000 that you could claim would be my share of the national debt.

Eventually, all debts are paid; either by the borrower or by the lender if the borrower cannot or will not repay. The government doesn't have the money so they have three choices:
1. Default. If the U. S. defaults on its debt, it would wreak havoc on the financial markets.
2. Print money: If the U. S. does that we have another 1923 Weimar Republic.
3. Using thugs with guns to rob the citizens of their assets and refuse to pay social security, medicare, and other welfare. That would cause a depression as bad as China under Mao Zedong.
