He definitely gets a lot more attention in the media; the leftists and corporate media haven't shut up about him for one day since 2016. Pretending it's been even mostly positive is absurd however because even Fox broadly tried to prop up his opposition during the primaries in both 2016 and 2024.

Because acknowledging that they might not be totally correct about Trump would mean that they would have to come terms with all the reprehensible shit they've done over the last decade. They've done a lot of damage unnecessarily and extremely inappropriately, and their egos are on the line.

You gotta remember that they justify everything they've done by claiming they have to do it to stop someone they think is the next Hitler. They think they're protecting democracy. The instant Trump stops being "literally Hitler..." well... that's an awkward conversation that they know they really don't want to have.

CNN engages in more false equivalence than any other network. That is, in fact, their entire shtick. Moreover, the parent company of CNN provided 90% of the startup costs for OANN, a dedicated pro Trump network.

But i can easily dig up some examples of bothsidesism by CNN if you'd like. They are controlled opposition, to the extent they can be called opposition at all. Their "attacks" on Trump are always 100% guaranteed to miss the mark. Whereas they are constantly elevating right wing nonsense attacks on democrats - even if they purport to criticize those attacks the fact that half their air time is dedicated to putting those attacks on display assures their center-left-ish audience will see them. And CNNs criticisms of those attacks are always as weak as possible.

Put another way, if you were given ten billion dollars and told your job is to get right wing misinformation in front of as many center-left people as possible, I challenge you to think of a better way to accomplish that other than by doing exactly what CNN is doing.
