I get that. But the long-term danger and harm it also impacts not only humans, but our eco system is detrimental.
Human kind really shouldn't have that much destructive power, in my opinion.

Do be true. But it's not as if we couldn't ruin the eco system by tons of other chemicals we use for war or to even just fuel tanks and factories. And all that which would of been ramped up more if we had even more wars that weren't cold by this threat.
So sadly I don't think this would of actually had any positive outcome, but I get why you said it.

Maybe I should specify this as “non-melee weaponry.” Probably would be tough to feed ourselves without spears and such, haha.

But any weapon that features superhuman projectile velocity would be out: bows and arrows, crossbows, guns, tanks and artillery, missiles, that kind of stuff. Anything you don’t throw, thrust, or swing.

War is too easily had when you can just shoot or blow up anybody from a safe distance. If you’re fighting wars or even just personal physical conflicts EXCLUSIVELY in close combat, with slow-death weapons that hurt a lot….. you gotta really WANT IT. So I think that would eliminate a lot of frivolous violence.

As it comes naturally to throw things so all it takes is making spears and throwing them.
But is an interesting idea.
