I am talking in the west, there is still clear prejudice against gay people. I am surprised how often I see it. It's really weird that it's still a problem for people, but I guess until religion exists, it will be a prejudice at least.

You would think after George Michael, Rob Halford, George Takei, Elton John, Johnny Mathis, Neil Patrick Harris, Wanda Sykes, Kate McKinnon, Bowen Yang, Jerrod Carmichael, etc. being open about their sexuality, more would be open to the concept not everyone is straight & that is okay. People need to grow up and accept there will always be people of different upbringing, beliefs, religion, ethnicity, nationality, cultures, food recipes, and yes gender identity, sexual orientation too.
27 ReplyGrow up? At least half of Americans operate at a sixth-grade (pre-teen) level, and kids that age, behaviourally or chronologically, are often cruel.
Incidentally, Mr. Mathis will be 89 Sunday, the 29th.

@beefcakebradybatson Wow I didn’t know, love his music. Honestly I think he is one of the most talented singers of a lifetime, just really amazed he still tours & his voice is as soft and elegant also romantic as it was when my elders saw him (last time I checked he was doing tours and that was two years ago, should look him up on him Sunday for sure) Thanks 👍
You're welcome, Mister Wack. Form boyhood, Mr. John Royce Mathis has been one of my favourite singers.

@beefcakebradybatson Funny enough…. Mine too even though I didn’t grow up during his time. I have an album of his and singles too.

You would think after Rock Hudson the boomers would have come around but they are a stubborn bunch!!
@DrPepper12 Mr. Hudson,59, was the first celebrity AIDS death, on Oct.2,1985, the day after my parents' 49th birthday.

So right now we are defining a new era with the internet being avaliable in everyone's pocket. The hate mob are desperately trying to set the standard for the next few centuries. Our current time frame is as defining as the invention of writing and the invention of the writing press to mass produce writing.

1 yI don’t think they have a problem with gays, it’s more about having a problem with that bogus pride flag.

Direction do you hate gays?

00 ReplyIt is quite common to see two men or two women in Europe walking hand in hand and show to the world that they love each other.
As for homophobia, I'm not sure it's a thing of older generations though. I see younger generations having problems with it too. It may be the way they were brought up, it may be the influence of other people that put ideas in their heads. I think younger homophobic people are even quite fanatic about it.
I know 2 girls who are perfectly happy with their relationship, but they are facing problems when on holiday in certain countries. It's sad they can behave one way in their home country and cannot show the same feelings in other countries.

1 yThree things I NEVER EXPECTED to see in my lifetime:
1) Gay marriage
2) Legal weed
3) Christo-fascism in USA
Gays don't even register with anyone by me. It's so natural & ubiquitous that it's unnoticeable.
Did you ever think that people would be more disgusted & judgmental about smoking cigarettes versus interracial marriage? NOW that's a helluva swap in 50 years!! I ♥️ progress!10 Reply
1 yNot really- but the problem isn't religion; it's closer to the other way around. As much as we like to pretend we're an egalitarian species, seeing outsiders as equivalent, or even equal, to ourselves is unnatural and against evolution. Religion is the primary thing that keeps us AWAY from one another's throats.

1 yYeah it cause people who are very religious might be why. I just feel since transgender is incorporated with the lgbq+ community it’s be more of problem. I have no problem with people being gay as long they don’t throw it up in all my face and I do not think a man or woman should change there gender though.

1 yI think it’s mostly old religious people that grew up in the era of homophobia, racism, bigotry, antisemitism, etc. They then teach it to their young and it goes down the line. People that don’t like gays for no reason, that didn’t grow up in a homophobic household are just mental. The least scariest thing on earth is who other people are attracted to lol.

Anonymous(25-29)1 yIt’s not just in the west, I would say the gay hate ratio is the same as it’s always been, you just have to be more secretive about it because everyone’s such a soft emotional pussy now. Who cares if people hate gays, they’re not gay for other people theyre gay cause it’s who they are.

1 yI really don't understand the concept of how a person's sexual preference comes into play unless you plan on dating them. Their sexual orientation has no relevance on who they are and whether they are a good person or not.

Its unnatural... you gotta look at the bigger picture. Whether homosexuality is nature or nurture... it is a defect. It serves no purpose for the human race. The problem arrives when society doesn't stand up and call it what it is and just accepts it. Homosexuality is a human defect. And yet society is allowing these couples to reproduce and raise children? It's crazy!
- 1 y
@Ariesman81 well considering the whole human race is a defect (which is the bigger picture) as no other species on earth behaves like us in nature, there's bound to be some differences. We are the cockroaches of the world.
- 1 y
The Bible makes more and more sense with every interaction. The ego is the defect. And the farther removed people get from nature the more apparent it becomes. Cockroaches are the cockroaches of the world. Men are the caretakers of this world. Start acting like it.
- 1 y
@Ariesman81 If men are the caretakers of the world we are doing a pretty crappy job. It's full of hatred and it's becoming a wasteland. We aren't in control of anything and sooner or later the caretakers will ruin it for generations to come.

Agreed. We could start by not allowing evil and unnatural things to persist.

My region used to have separate gay prom for those HS kids but now some schools have voted gay couples for homecoming kings. Give it another 40 years and there won't be a soul who GAF. ... I hope...

1 yI have no problem with them at all. Many guys are gay in Mumbai because it’s a very Westernised place. However, I wouldn’t go out of my way to show my support
20 ReplyBeing gay is not normal, straight men find it disgusting, and not just because of religion.

Anonymous(36-45)1 yIn all fairness. It’s the gays that are pushing everyone to accept them. Let the smoke clear out and move on. No need to obsess and protest and be loud all the time.

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yIt depends what you mean by, "have a problem". I could care less whether someone is gay or not. But being gay does not mean you get to bully me because of it.
00 ReplyYes rather weird, especially how angry some people get because they don't like it. 😊
