I think people should be smart enough to know when someone is lying to them.

If they need to told by "experts" or mainstream media personalities what to think they're unable to discern for themselves.

Which means the lies work on them, which is why politicians continue to lie.

Personally I do not think political views against their opponents should be allowed instead they should be required to tell only what good they will do for the people

The problem is if they did that that standard would only be held to democrats, as republicans would say some of their constituents believe it and so they are just representing that view. And the only people who could press them on it is the media, which is disproportionately influenced by republicans since Citizens united, so again the standard would only be applied to democrats.

Well that's the media's job. To hold candidates feet to the fire if you will. But the media stopped being the media long ago. Now every media entity is pandering to thier own viewer base. Which means they're not reporting news anymore. They're reporting what fits the narrative that thier viewers base already holds. If you want to know what that's is all you need to do is look at the commercial breaks. That'll tell you target demographic.

It would make the accusation more believable and it would reduce the amount of such things a lot, as most accusations are just made up BS.

The Big Guy has multiple multi million dollar properties and the whole family has lived a lavish lifestyle with apparently nobody mking enough money to afford it. Like I say, the IRS grabs these people all the time. All we need is an IRS that will not give the Bidens a free pass. They are not as smart as they think
. Writing "Loan Repayment" on a check may fool Biden's IRS but the one that Trump puts together will want to see more proof than that. Trump' new and improved DOJ will not hesitate to prosecute somebody, senile or not.
