S. adult citizens on two separate surveys from September 8 - 12, 2023 and September 13 - 20, 2023, with each survey taken by 1,000 U. S. adult citizens. Respondents were selected from YouGov’s opt-in panel using sample matching. A random sample (stratified by gender, age, race, education, geographic region, and voter registration) was selected from the 2019 American Community Survey. The sample was weighted according to gender, age, race, education, 2020 election turnout and presidential vote, baseline party identification, and current voter registration status. Demographic weighting targets come from the 2019 American Community Survey. Baseline party identification is the respondent’s most recent answer given prior to November 1, 2022, and is weighted to the estimated distribution at that time (33% Democratic, 31% Republican). The margin of error for the overall sample is approximately 3%.

That's a lot of  brabrabra for bras, brah? About legal status of topless women in public, this case is rather funny, in my location. Extract from a press article: "Does the law distinguish between men's and women's bare chests?  There's a legal debate as to whether bare breasts are sexual or not, since the Penal Code, in its article on sexual exhibition, doesn't specify. The question has arisen with the actions of the Femen activists, who write political messages on their bare torsos. They are sometimes charged with sexual exhibition. But they are not always convicted in the end. One of them, had written “Kill Putin” on her chest, and damaged the statue of Vladimir Putin at the Musée Grévin in Paris in 2014. She was acquitted by the Paris Court of Appeal in 2017, which ruled that the offence of sexual exhibition had not been constituted, since “the intention expressed by its author is devoid of any sexual connotation”. I've never understood why most women wear bras at all, unless the sheer weight of larger boobs is uncomfortable or if they are unwieldy, interfering with a woman's physical activities.

I wonder if there are laws as to whether exposed man-breasts can be considered to be against the law when gynecomastia and enlarged man-nipples cause them to be significantly noticeable.
I guess that it all depends on the jurisdiction in which a guy who is so affected finds himself.

As far as my man undies go, I've been mainly a commando guy for many years, although traditional knit boxers are sometimes donned by me if I'm to be outside in cold weather, which occurs less and less for me as I've gotten older.
I ditched the tighty-whities that I grew up wearing around 50 years ago.

That being said, I do have undie favorites, though.

When I'm feeling especially naughty, I like to wear women's lace G-string panties, not the men's varieties of a similar nature, which have a "pouch".
With my being a hater of tighty-whities, one might think that this particular proclivity is counter-intuitive.
Not so.
I love the feel of the flat paneled lace front pressing against my man-parts, with my "chicken-skin" oozing through the tiny lace openings.
The feel of the string crawling its way into my crack over a period of time is absolutely scrumptious.
When the string gets fully buried, I then pull it back out to allow the wonderfully strange feel of it once again entombing itself in the depths of my nether regions.

I used to always sleep in a bra until I had a baby I had to feed throughout the night. But I'm back to sleeping in it again and I prefer it. I just find it more comfortable. I wear a bra every day and every night with breaks :P It's important for it to be well fitted and even the same type and size of bra will work differently on a woman's body and hence, we like some more than others. No brand loyalty. Actually, I think I'm going to buy myself a new one soon. Nothing quite like a brand new, well fitter bra.

Of course we wash it. But favourite bra just means it’s comfortable when in general bras are uncomfortable. Don’t look at it like a favourite bra vs underwear and just favourite clothing. Because everyone at some point in their life has had a favourite article of clothing. For example I have a favourite shirt; I also have a favourite pair of shoes and a favourite pair of pants. I wear them because I am most comfortable in them and feel more relaxed

My wife has a love-hate relationship with bras. It will be the first thing she removes when she comes back from work. She says it's too uncomfortable to wear a whole day.

During the weekends, she will usually go without. At most a sports type bra.

She knows I like the sexy type bra, sexy lingerie. She will ask me to go shopping with her, but won't let me inside the fitting room. But she'll try it on at home, ask me to adjust the straps, look at her, give her my opinion. It's a playful thing between us.

Her favourite type bra? Either extremely comfortable, or minimal fabric and push-up.

I know someone who used to wear a bra to sleep. Just hated the way boobs felt and didn't even want to feel blanket move on them while breathing. Made it hard to fall asleep because of sensitivity.

To be fair it turned out that he wasn't a woman, but I think sensitivity can effect anyone men or women and make it hard to sleep in (or without) certain clothes, so that's one possible reason to wear a bra to sleep.

Find the perfect bra it's hard, expecially for those woman who have a big breast. A lot of big breast women need to wear a bra in the majority of situations because they need to be sustained.
Personally I have not a big breast so I dlnt use it at home or even sometimes when I go out. But there are times when it need to be used , like when I have on a shirt that has transparency.
They are torture devices, expecially the underwire ones.

I wash my bra after every use. It’s hard to find a good bra that’s not going to fall apart. When I get certain bras I try to remember the brand in case I cross one my size again. I have two good bras that have lasted a decade. While my new ones have barely lasted a year.

I think it’s because most guys are nonchalant about what they’re wearing, meanwhile for girls we can spend a considerable amount of time picking out cute outfits, dolling up with makeup, etc.

I think it’s just a trait that guys don’t have a particular interest it, or any real noticeable preference. Personally my choices in bra is white or black, nothing more, I live a fairly simple lifestyle. As long as the bra fits well then it’s whatever. 😂

A bra that fits really well and is v comfortable is harder to find than other underwear, I mean guys have like 3-4 sizes of underwear just get the same size you got last time and it is fine! That is why! I do not wear them to sleep though.

I'm surprised that so many report wearing bras a formal event. My observation has been that's when you find a substantial proportion of women--even very well-endowed ones--are most likely to be found braless.
